Plus, it's embedded (baremetal, OS-less) programming, while also trying to make something do something it's not quite supposed to do. Mightn't got all that well as your very first venture into programming (also because C (the programming...
My favorite method for finding the reason for such problems: The Process of Elimination:
Try your charger on another DSi(XL) or 2|3DS(XL) console to verify the charger is working
The other way round: Try another, known good, charger on your DSi...
If it means anything to you, these marks were something I noticed on a couple of DSi I had, but I didn't have a clear answer to what it was.
Not to get sidetracked, but I didn't know the sunburn was the cause of those giant spots on those older...
The OP says:
So there doesn't seem a good way to do this.
Furthermore, the post also states that the archived download includes Verilog sources. Problem is this was written for a piece of hardware (both the FPGA chip and the development board)...
Fwiw, I've thought about this a fair bit as I also wanted a DSi capture card (because it's the only thing that can properly record the hacky stuff I do on a DSi, which a 3DS can't). (Also, FYI, I'm the one who made the DSiXL testpoint table. I'll...
That was the impression I got. Gosh, ピピン (Pippin) had that video made in 2010 and 14 years is an eternity for electronics. Though I originally set out to replicate Pippin's setup, I am just not able to get my hands on that old board. The two main...
Preface:
This is an essay, of sorts, compiling all of the information about the Dsi Capture Card that I could find. Information may be missing or inaccurate, but what I present is my current understanding of the project.
I have an interest in...
I only looked into this once, but on the DSi I had, the marks were imprinted on the inside of the lens. I'll need to look at it again since I didn't even think about the lens making physical contact with the LCD to create that mark.
Maybe the spring inside the reader is broken or bent.
Possibilities:
If the reader works reliably with SD inserted → Put all your files on SD including an FTP server for adding things if needed
If it doesn't work reliably or you want to...
Were you able to find a solution?
The times I've heard about this problem it's either a faulty display or related to the potentiometers in the battery compartment. Display-related issues seem to be a very hard thing to diagnose and fix when...
Breaking the tab for the top screen is my #1 fear. Unless I am ignorant of a method, I have no clue how to replace it without destroying the camera unit connector on the other side of the board (ruling out hot air). You might be able to get a...
