oh btw, i have an update. Yesterday, i tried installing an older version of luma 3ds (11.0) and that worked perfectly. It might've been an issue with the newer version. just thought id mention that. thanks for the help :)- paprika89

No problems at all. I just saw that for an app that I use that the latest version of Luma3DS is recommended and when I found it, I installed it. And that's how this all happened.
