Retrospective videos are a form of documentaries, so yeah they do count. According to those people who watch Yotuube Shorts and whatnot, they watch it becsuse you can watch like hundreds of videos to not keep you bored and whatnot. But why don't they watch a documentary of something? It provides more information than a bunch of shorts. I bet that they are hard as rocks.

+ The hundreds of shorts they watch literally affects their mentality, shortening their attention spams (hence why they can only watch 1 minute of content before they switch to something new)
