It's probably just your cache. You can force a refresh by pressing Ctrl + F5.

Last time this problem occurred on my end was before the XenForo upgrade. The usual "Just press CTRL+F5!" for force reloading and "Just wait a few minutes for server cache to update!" didn't do anything. Different size versions showed the old and new picture simultaneously in a brand new browser profile over multiple days (not minutes).

At some point I removed the avatar and uploaded a new one a day later. That worked.
This is the first time I see somebody mentioning this problem since the upgrade, so it would be nice to know if it is/was just a local cache problem.

That has happened to me before. What I did was delete my old avatar, so you don't have one, then close gbatemp. Reopen and install new avatar pic, then boom it showed up. Good luck!
