I thought we were talking about PPPwn. You are right, for the base exploit itself you don't require a USB stick. But for GoldHEN (at least as far as i know), you require a USB once, for the first time, to get the payload copied to the HDD. But this might also be obsolete now, I honestly don't know.- FR0ZN
