I'm sure there's a few HB that's still incompatible but now that RA is compatible I'm sold.. Aroma all the way!!! :) I tried it, it wont compile :/

That is amazing Ploggy. I will have to finally switch over to Aroma this weekend. Does Aroma have any incompatibility at the homebrew level still?

OK here's a UNAI PcsxRearmed Aroma Core with Vrdas AXPro Audio Driver! nice and speedy :) Remember with this AXPro Core you need to... Load Core, switch the Audio Driver to AXPro and change the Sample Rate to 44k then boot your game ;)...

Yea, I believe it's the Dynarec caching, both those games definitely can run over fullspeed. Or It could be to do with Threaded Rendering.. It can be a big help or a big hinderance depending on the game.

Sound stutter? you may get the odd pop when the Dynarec is caching but there shouldn't be any stutter? Is this something your seeing when using the Core? or is it in the Video? If your getting constant stutter, make sure you have adjusted the...

Was definitely judging by your video. I really haven’t had the time to fire it up yet. How can I explain it? It’s like hiccups and crackling in the music. Mostly observed on the Gex and R-type playthrough.

@ploggy the sound is definitely much better now on the latest Unai build. Is the stuttering on the games related maybe to frameskip?

I've made an issue on the Yabause Git about the blue screen to see if anyone has any ideas. https://github.com/libretro/yabause/issues/304 1716159002 Here's a new Video showing a handful of games running with latest changes on the new PS1 Core :)...

@Zeox-gamer I got Yabause to compile and run.. after much trial and error :P Good news it does boot a game, bad news is as expected it runs awfully and there is a weird blue hue on the screen, so unplayable. Clock Work Knight runs @ 8fps This...

@Maxbeta Here's an updated Snea9x Core with AXPro support, it is faster than the OG Snes9x core but not enough to make the FMV sequences faster :/ but it maybe enough to optimize the MSU-1 audio track quality to “Highest”????? I dunno :P you'll...

Awesome thanks, I'll compile the Snes9x Core and a few others to see if it helps ;) and welcome to the thread :) 1715385804 @blackkawa you can get Legend of Dragoon to work if you disable the Dynamic Recompiler and change the PSX CPU Clock Speed...
  • M
Sure. Any core can be built with audio optimization levels 0, 1 and 2, without changing core code. I can take a look at Snes9x source to see if we can easily get optimization level 3 too. I suggest building RA with WIIU_AUDIO_OPTIMIZATION_LEVEL=2...
