I got Contra Legacy of War to work. Everything would work up to the character select screen where the controller wouldn't work at all after that. The music was still playing but nothing else was happening and I couldn't even hit "Home" on the classic controller to get back to the main menu...
I'm out of the loop on this a bit. I don't think I'm hearing a difference in things I've tested so far, or I don't know what I'm listening for.
Which one should be better? And which is better for emulation speed?
Crash Bandicoot 1 has been working for me on Wiistation/WiiSx for a long time. Just loaded it now to be sure and it's working fine, I'm playing through the first level.
Only other suggestion I can think of, have you tried setting/ it up to boot through bios?
Really happy with the quality of emulation. Just documenting some problem games here. Tried using dynarec to see if it would fix it and had same issues as lightrec:
Colony Wars: Red Sun - seems to work then freezes as the first mission begins. Have to hit reset button on Wii to get back to...
Heh, I step out of the forum for a while because life, then on a whim check to see how the latest WiiStation is doing and BAM! A bit better speed *and* light gun support?!?!? And I was thinking it couldn't get any better after the video filtering options letting us turn off the bilinear...
Heh, was about to reply to the Thrill Kill issue and saw this link actually links back to a post of mine describing how to get into the game. :D The black screen when you load it up is a form of childproofing. Quoting from my previous post:
That said, Thrill Kill works *very* nice now, 100%...
I might have a bad ISO then. I'll try a different one.
Edit: Yeah, I had a bad ISO. Medieval 2 works.
On a side note, tried Twisted Metal 4. It works, but your car blinks in and out when you drive along in the battlefield. So kind of graphically buggy.
Rogue Trip and Power Move Pro Wrestling are both working.
Twisted Metal 3 and Medieval 2 are still in the non-working list. I'm not sure either ever worked before though.
Edit: Is there any way to speed up the "Load ISO" search? More to the point, why is it taking so long? Is this a sign...
Anyone have the following games working in the latest 240p build?
- Power Move Pro Wrestling - I'm pretty sure this worked at one point before
- Rogue Trip
- Twisted Metal 3
I have it in my collection just for Arcade Collection completeness sake.
Yeah, it's awful. Uniquely awful though. :D Everyone should experience it at least once.
Edit: And thank you, Jokippo, Beast Wars Transmetals does work now! :D
Edit Edit:
Following up with some ongoing...
Playing with the newest v7 build, random musings not solely related to this build:
- This bug is kind of long term, preceding WiiStation and going way back in WiiSX, but thought I'd bring it up. It's a graphical bug in 2d sprites in just a few games which shows up as a small linear smudge in...
With the pace of what's been happening with this emulator lately, I feel enthusiastic that it's going to get there and fix these compatibility issues. I just bought a new bigger and faster SD card just for this emulator.
Heck, didn't we even get a tease some pages back about possible light gun...
The new version with the graphic filters is working great for me for every game I usually test except Primal Rage. That's still crashing with a DSI error right before the main menu shows up. Tried Interpreter just to see if it would load, and crashes just like Dynarec. That's like my main go...
I may try the new ram site, and download more RAM to my Switch. Not sure if ddr3 is the right ram
for it tho. Edit- no it uses floppy Ram, just like @AncientBoi
