As we all know, Nintendo consoles from 16bit upwards go 'good' 'bad' 'good' 'bad' 'good' 'bad'.
SNES -> GameCube -> Wii -> WiiU -> Switch -> Switch 2.
I fully expect this to be another WiiU or DSi. Nobody will see any reason to buy a Switch 2 if it is simply an upgrade to the Switch.
Someone is going to have to explain to me what is different. The only issue I remember, is thatn a app could not load files from an external source, I had legit emulators from the apple app store in the past for C64 and I think zx spectrum about 15 years ago.
However, some (probably a lot) of the games require phoning home in some way, or some other form of server access to run. Just having the games does not mean you will forever be able to play them.
I may try the new ram site, and download more RAM to my Switch. Not sure if ddr3 is the right ram
for it tho. Edit- no it uses floppy Ram, just like @AncientBoi
