The best features in Notepad++ is that it can ident your code, replace all instances of text and automatically backup any draft documents you haven't saved.
Also column mode and blank space operations are quite useful, specially if python starts complaining about mixed indentation styles.
In the end it is just a free, quite lightweight very handy little text editor. You don't need to install Atom for simple stuff, KISS. I guess same can be said about sublime text, except the 'free' part.
I may try the new ram site, and download more RAM to my Switch. Not sure if ddr3 is the right ram
for it tho. Edit- no it uses floppy Ram, just like @AncientBoi
