So I got a few squaresoft PS1 RPGs to better study Japanese. This quite baffling thing happened to BOTH games.
The first disc (these are multi disc games) will either not be read, OR will not play properly (it will be slowed down, music, CG cutscenes, everything will be a little slower).
While...
I have this weird issue while playing NFS porsche (PS1 title) on multiman. The game menu works fine, but when I start a race, it restarts the race after about 10". Does anyone know what could be happening? I am playing this off of a USB drive. I remember maybe 8 years ago I did install a hard...
You know what, I guess I was just used to the crisp sound of the 3DS. It's just fine. It just sounds a bit more muffled compared to the 3DS. I tried a bunch of other games and they seem to work fine.
I can't see anything up to a light, because it's a PS1 title, a black label disk.
At least no 'holes' in the data or anything appears.
how do I do that?
OK guys so after a lot of searching and trial and error, disk 1 of the Japanese FFVII was just faulty. It didn't make sense at first because the disk itself looks fine, no scratches or anything.
But I tried it on another PS2 (unmodded, Japanese) and it still didn't work.
Also the black and white...
I tried playing some US PS1 games through PS3 on a CRT and all I got was black and white colors. My cable looks like three cables and it goes towards a scart thingie. Does that mean it isn't really scart?
Hello everyone.
I bought a bunch of digital games from the American PSN for various reasons.
While these games play fine using HDMI on a modern TV, they display as black and white when connected through SCART to my PAL TV.
Is there any way to fix this? Will this happen if I order a Japanese PS2...
But the PS2 slim says it's dual voltage. So it should work on my European TV without a converter.
Also, this isn't a failed burn, it's a genuine disk I bought from Japan! So it has to be anti piracy.
How the hell does it detect I'm using a chip?!
Oh god I think you guys are right. Never in my wildest dreams would I think a PS1 game would have this serious of an anti-mod chip measure! Also this console is louder than fuck, I might have gotten cheesed with this marketplace PS2.
If I buy a Japanese console, will it play on my PAL TV?
What's an AP? Interestingly enough, after your suggestion, I tried putting the second disk of FFVII in, and it plays. But it has a black bar underneath the image.
Could only the first disk have the piracy measure?
I may try the new ram site, and download more RAM to my Switch. Not sure if ddr3 is the right ram
for it tho. Edit- no it uses floppy Ram, just like @AncientBoi
