Hello. I've been having fun modding handhelds and I wanted to attempt making my own flash cart. I managed to get it working, but it wasn't able to play any GBC ROMs or some later GB ROMs and eventually, it stopped working all together.
The problem was for some reason, my FlashGBX couldn't read the Mapper or Save type. So the flasher couldn't tell if I had the right specs for most ROMs I tried to put in, including the original ROM (Yu Gi Oh Dark Duel Stories). I will admit, I don't really know what I am doing and I'm probably an idea for even attempting this, but I want to learn.
So If anyone can help and give me some advice on this, or point me somewhere I can learn more about this I'd much appreciate it.

*Yu Gi Oh Dark Duel Stories (8 KB SPRAM, MBC5, Battery save)
*TSOP-40 AM29F032B-120EC
*JRodrigo's Flash adapter
