Just buy a replacement motherboard. If it’s the doc drive version, make sure that moats comes with the needed board for the blue ray drive

It really is a shame that you bought a banned console. Sometimes when you try to save up some money, you end up spending more in order to fix all the issues that come with such a risky purchase. It definitely pays off picking a bit pricier route in a long term, even more so if it's one-time purchase like this.

I'd try to return it to the seller and ask for a refund, if possible, provided they haven't explicitly mentioned that the console is banned. If they did, you should have paid more attention before purchasing it. Selling it for parts is not a bad way to at least get some money back. Better luck next time, though.

I'd sell it for parts, there's a few banned consoles being sold for around 300-340 dollars on ebay.

Not saying it's your fault you got scammed or that you deserved it, but it's your fault that you allowed yourself to get scammed. Who pays $400 for a used console without testing it? Especially when you can get a brand new one easily for not much more.

Why would you buy a banned PS5.... As suggested by other mates, you can now sell it in parts, its disc, cover, and other parts.
