Hardware Using an Xbox 360 slim is it possible to use a 12.5 mm laptop hdd internally

I have a wd 1 tb I’m not using and I bought hdd shells for the Xbox 360 slim and since the hard drive is thicker I’m wondering will it work?

yes, as long as it fits. I'm using a 12.5mm on my phat. I just had to bend those brackets back till they broke off to get it to fit in the shell. this is only possible with a jtag/rgh unless you use a wd scorpio or wd bevs drive of 500GBs or less if using stock. that's the only model we have the security sector of.

It will work as long as you're running an RGH mod (i use a 12.5mm drive in my Slim myself), but you wont be able to fit the lid onto the caddy, the harddrive will stick out ever so slightly on top.

So I tried it with the top off the caddy on my slim rgh works perfectly thanks to all you so much
