Yuzu Nintendo Switch emulator has been ported to Android

The Yuzu development team has just released their Nintendo Switch emulator for a new platform. Today, Yuzu has been ported to Android, bringing yet another Nintendo Switch emulator to mobile devices. This release follows nearly a month after Skyline ended its development. Yuzu for Android's initial release lacks parity with the desktop version, and it currently does not have LDN multiplayer and other features, as the team wants to focus on optimization first and foremost.

You need Android 11 and some Vulkan extensions in order to run Yuzu. You can grab the emulator from the Google Play Store if you want to try it out. A full blog post on the official Yuzu site also details the development process of the port.

u must not know how to setup ur shield dolphin runs great on my sheilds. the shield is a great system. a little outdated yes but it can play up ps2 and wii games decently. anything above that yeah its not going to run but there are tons of retro consoles that shield does a great job with.
Then what settings are you using b/c evidently you know something that I don't as you purport?... And if you're using the MMJ version of Dolphin then that definitely doesn't count w/ all the shortcuts and hacks it uses. I don't even bother using my Shield to run any high-end emulation on Android b/c my Orange Pi 5 runs laps around my Shield. Have you not ever seen the synthetic benchmark scores for the RK3588 (Orange Pi 5)? The Shield doesn't compare...

Maybe it's just the Dolphin coding that's not ideal, I've got lots of good games on my shield TV and they work great. I also have some emulators on it as well and they are working fine as well.

Still as the yuzu is a beta on Android for now, I assume it will get better over time.

I have a switch already so for me it's pointless to emulate it, but still it would be nice if Dolphin improved for wii games. Also Yuzu can be run on a PC pretty well already so if my switch ever breaks I'll just use a SBC, something like the LattePanda Sigma to emulate with.

You're sorta moving the goalpost since I was only talking a/b Dolphin in response to the original commenter.

However, I only emulate Switch on my PC based on the specs in my signature. Not sure what you mean, but Dolphin runs well on Android at native resolution on most low-end devices if that's what you were referencing. I don't even know why you don't bother emulating Switch (on PC) instead when you can take advantage of better visuals, higher screen resolutions, cheats, etc.

I doubt the people behind yuzu will attempt this for obvious reasons but you think if they did, this can be made into a switch emulator for the switch.

Because there are thousands of triple AAA games already for PC "with better visuals and cheats" than whatever emulator has.
Switch isn't one of the most sold consoles of history because potato.
I my self sometimes use my hacked Switch with cheats and cheese instead my Steam Deck, why? Because potato obviously.
