To my understanding they inject some sort of electrical signal with nanosecond precise timing which somehow allows unsigned code to be run at a trustzone level. There has to be a more detailed explanation than this. The bootrom bug on Erista Switches had a very detailed technical document...
This is true but I do intend to replay Mario and Luigi Paper Jam on an emulator. It's combat is challenging and I found it more challenging to play holding a 3DS rather than a controller and looking at a screen. I suspect I'll have the same experience with other games with challenging combat.
I...
One idea I have but will probably never get around to trying is to start my own YouTube channel as an independent game reviewer. It makes me wonder how to provide an informed review of games across different genres and series. How does someone who does not play FPS games review an FPS game? I...
It's a bit late now but for others reading this I would recommend the following. At this point in time your best option is to dump the keys from an unbanned Switch and emulate it. Keep this Switch around and use it for whatever games you want to play online. Booting Hekate, dumping the keys then...
While I haven't tried it myself but to my understanding these fixes are only partially effective and the D-pad is still inferior to other controllers'.
Normally I use emulators because they're more convenient but still play most DS and 3DS games on a real DSi and New 3DS. Pixel perfect games like the DS Castlevania trilogy look incredible on the DSi. Games which utilise the second screen effectively such as Fire Emblem play better on actual...
SD cards are cheap shit which work most of the time but sometimes fuck up. Generally they're good enough but in some applications you may wish to use more reliable higher quality memory like in an Everdrive to reduce to chance that randomly lose your save data. Are there any realistic options...
It looks like an interesting game worth playing but the Switch version is locked to 30fps due to hardware limitations. Given that it runs at higher framerates on other platforms, it shouldn't have any physics tied to framerate. Played with handheld flags enabled and overclocking, it can probably...
It doesn't answer your question but might solve your problem. Twilight Menu can run most games perfectly so assuming you're using a DSi you probably don't need a flash cart.
I use Retroarch on the Switch because a standalone GBA emulator I tried a few years ago had audio glitches but Retroarch hasn't given me any problems. On the PC I use standalone emulators just out of habit.
When you're playing games which don't use the D-pad much the Switch Pro Controller is the clear winner. When playing games on Retroarch I use a Pokken controller. This leaves me not knowing what to do about games like Celeste and Hollow Knight, which I assume, don't work with a Pokken...
While I haven't tried emulating the Switch before, if my Switch dies I don't intend to replace it.
If you want to play online or locally in handheld mode with your friends or prefer the convenience of not needing to set anything up then buy a Switch.

I found it funny cause many many years ago, had a roommate in college that did this same dumbass branding of the school logo, but it didn't look anything like it after it healed. Just looked like a birthmark.
