It might be possible to add DSONE to ntrboot_flasher.

Yeah looks like that would be the case. Since there's nothing in the bootme.nds files/rom dumps that have any flash code I'm not sure how I'd find out what commands to use. :( I did try enabling the type 2 commands for it but no dice. Still hangs. If the 87 cmd wasn't working me thinks it would...

It might be possible to add DSONE to ntrboot_flasher.

Thanks. I just now ended up finding the fix. It looks like maybe you were testing this on 3DS build of ntrboot flasher which you just now posted that you did. :P To make this work on that DSi fork build you can alter the following function at the end of DSOne.cpp: bool injectNtrBoot(uint8_t...

Can you add chip ID 0x454D to your DSOne code? I want to test my MMD cart on it but I can't get the project to compile with your modified flashcart core. :( (I'm guessing it's because you aren't using https://github.com/DS-Homebrew/ntrboot_flasher_nds fork?)

Possible to disable autoboot of DSOne cart?

Yeah that's the autoboot flag. bit 2 specifically. The OP can refer to this thread for if/when DS one becomes updatable: https://gbatemp.net/threads/it-might-be-possible-to-add-dsone-to-ntrboot_flasher.656805 If it can then yes you can disable autoboot by replacing rom with modified one with...

It might be possible to add DSONE to ntrboot_flasher.

Ahh thanks for clarifying that. I heard it was a Playstation modchip. I just forgot which one. :P Maybe if I'm lucky Datal also cloned the DSOne and just stripped out the MicroSD slot (since it was expected to use the slot-2 device for storage)...But I don't know. Since this is using a rather...

I see. As for my Max Media Player cart this is what the PCB looks like: Possible Datel is doing something special with this one but interesting that it does respond to the dump commands correctly though... Apparently that FPGA was used in some PS1 modchips (or PS2..forget which). :P

It might be possible to add DSONE to ntrboot_flasher.

This is the modified rom I created for Max Media Dock. At some point they started compressing their arm9 binary so couldn't easily look at it in Ghidra. I ran the rom in No$GBA and ram dump it just as it boots far enough to decompress and got a working result. Maybe you can find out if there was...

It might be possible to add DSONE to ntrboot_flasher.

That's a standard rom container but with secure area encrypted and blow fish data at 0x1000 and 0x2000 so it's stored in a manner similar to other flashcarts. Assuming the write commands work that should be ntrboot capable. But I bet the write commands don't end up doing anything as DSOne...

Homebrew GBA GBA Exploader on modern libnds...

Yeah it has the same slowdown that the others have...I think they all have this issue? It's an inherent flaw with the SuperCard carts I think. Not sure on the Pokémon games. Never tested that aspect of it.

Skyward Sword HD randomizer announced with release date and trailer

I've enjoyed the Switch version of this game. The controls aren't that bad. Though they really missed the mark with recentering motion controls. Games like Breath of the WIld handle this pretty well. Motion controls for that game for example recenter the moment you pull an item out that uses it...

Homebrew SCFW: Custom Firmware & Kernel for Supercard

From what I can the MicroSD Lite is completely flash based most likely. I don't have MicroSD inserted at all in mine and games can still retain saves so MicroSD is not used at all for that. It's limited to 64KB though. I've read it's because of how the flash has to be addressed and it has to do...

Homebrew SCFW: Custom Firmware & Kernel for Supercard

Oh cool. So what modifications did you do besides renaming the frm file it uses? Did it work in normal mode or did you have to put it in SCLite mode? EDIT: Oh wait you did mention using regular mode. So yeah the SD and MicroSD version are the same then. Just the SC Lite is unique I guess. :P

Homebrew SCFW: Custom Firmware & Kernel for Supercard

The official recovery tool restores 1.85 version firmware on the target slot-2 card it was designed for. I haven ot tried flashing official firmware dumps via sckill because I don't have any regulard non lite versions of SuperCard to test the original flash code on. The SCLIte flash code can't...

Homebrew SCFW: Custom Firmware & Kernel for Supercard

Maybe with regular SuperCards. Not on SuperCard LIte though as I haven't been able to get it to write past 0x50000. But SC has official NDS recovery programs anyways so you don't really need to use SCKILL for that. ;) EDIT: Actually the non Lite MicroSD version doesn't appear to have a...

Read and Write roms to a GBA Flash cart's Mini SD card with an R4 and a DS Lite

Oh yeah this all assumes you'd primarily be using the SuperCard MiniSD on your DS/DS Lite. If you intend to use it on a GBA then yeah you'll have to get the MiniSD stuff sorted out.

Homebrew SCFW: Custom Firmware & Kernel for Supercard

@metroid maniac I got SC Lite fw flashing to work properly now! Attached the improved build below. I set it so D-PAD toggles between regular and "Lite" mode. (must select it before hitting A or B). The scfw boots up and doesn't hang on white screen like my initial attempts with modified GBA...

Need help getting a file from ds-scene.net

Was it this patch? I was able to access the file after altering an existing download page link to point to this one instead: http://www.ds-scene.net/?s=download&viewfile=396b276f2318e5de6733ba7199b7006b I took different download page for something unrelated and replaced it's download ID (that...

https://github.com/ApacheThunder/GBA-Exploader/releases/tag/0.62 Directory tree no longer displays both "." and ".." at the top. Like original GBA Exploader only ".." is the top directory entry when in a sub folder. The "." entry is a special entry provided by FAT for going to "current"...

Read and Write roms to a GBA Flash cart's Mini SD card with an R4 and a DS Lite

Assuming the SuperCard SD MIni uses the same mode switch code (pretty sure it does as I recall checking it's DLDI code while trying to help the original poster in this thread), my build of GBA-Exploader should already work for it for the most part. It does seem saves work too provided they don't...

SuperFW: a (very much WIP) supercard firmware

One notable difference I've noticed with my SuperCard Lite MicroSD is that the fw flash requires a different unlock command then the others and the sckill app from that other custom fw project isn't able to update the fw section. (despite updating mode switch for fw rom read/write, nothing is...

@BigArnold, sorry but i cant, i dont have a switch. also what k3nv2 says is a joke
  • B @ BigArnold:
That's what I figured. I put a post up in a forum but no one seems to replying to posts there. I also don't what this chat is attached to.
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
    General chat as it implies
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@BigArnold, try posting in the "switch noob paradise" thread
  • B @ BigArnold:
That's where I put it. But like I said other people's posts from a day or two ago have no responses. I'm not sure if the chat is part of the Nintendo forum that I'm on or a part of the website as a whole.
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@BigArnold, part of the website as a whole
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
    then try making a thread
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
wait you are too new to be able to do that
  • B @ BigArnold:
That's fine. I'll find my way.

@BigArnold you put the fusee or hekate.bin in the hekate/ payloads folder, or use app to push the payload to switch while its in rcm mode

  • B @ BigArnold:
The problem is is that TegraGUI isn't detecting my Switch despite it being plugged in and in RCM or maintenance mode.

  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Did you click install driver inside the tegra app.
  • B @ BigArnold:
I did all of that stuff and it seemed successful but still nothing. The only thing different from the guide I used was that my device wasn't showing up as APX but rather Nintendo Switch.
  • B @ BigArnold:
I did it inside the Tegra app and Zadig.
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Try a different USB c cable, or different USB port on your pc.
  • B @ BigArnold:
I tried a different port and don't have another cable. I'm fairly certain there's no issue with the equipment I'm using.
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Some cheap USB c cables don't send data, they only charge
  • B @ BigArnold:
The cable is usually used to connect my controller to my switch's dock.
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Only other thing Id suggest is using a phone/tablet and use the Rekato app, or different pc
  • B @ BigArnold:
    Okay then.
    Thanks for your help.
