ROM Hack Question Can I transfer a modded save from emuMMC to sysMMC safely?

I want to mod my pokemon shield save on my emuMMC and then transfer it to my sysMMC to play with my friend. The switch is not banned. Can i do this safely or no?

You can try this but it is a lot of work, you are better off using a second unit for online play if you want to edit/hacked pokemon.

Transferring modded save to play with it online is a way to get banned.

I've been doing this since SwSh came out. Edit it, back it up, launch SysCFW, and restore it. You're in virtually no danger. My saves are edited to the point where nothing seems real and I have no issues. Just make sure your Pokemon are legal if you plan to use them in ranked online battles.

Depends on the game. Some games have some way to check.
