What iPad, what firmware?
You can try something like 3uTools to bypass MDM during first time setup, but it will only work on specific devices with specific firmware, will only work after a factory reset during first time setup, and it doesn't fully remove MDM from the device (there are no tools that can do that ATM AFAIK, just bypasses). It won't be removed, but it shouldn't bother you about it.
Failing that, could just simply ask the company it's setup for if they can remove the lock for you. Assuming you didn't steal it or buy a stolen iPad, you can probably get them to remove it if it's legit. If they do claim it's stolen, then I'd attempt a return to whoever sold it to you.
