NoUMD Rewrite

This plugin is the rewrite of the NoUMD plugin for PSP, which completely disables your PSP's UMD Drive.
Tested on 6.39 PRO-C2, 6.39 TN-A Xtended, 6.60 PRO-C2, 6.61 PRO-C2 and 6.61 ME 2.3. It should work on every 6.XX (L)ME, PRO and HEN firmware.
More feedback would be appreciated!

Not trying to discredit your work as I’m sure there is a use case. But out of curiosity could you provide an example as to why someone would want to disable UMD? Does it save a considerable amount of battery maybe?

I just like to learn new things, you never know when you might need to know something :)

No worries.
I'm not sure if it saves power but this plugin is mainly for people who have PSPs with broken UMD drive, battery mod or simply for people who want to disable their PSP's UMD drive because they're not using it.

i used to go out to the recycling center every couple weeks and look at the crts and other electronics people would drop off. Usually screens were broken or severely scratched from being tossed around. Did find a good one here and there, but never anything like a 1080i widescreen crt.

Is it piracy if it was released for free? Not in my opinion, but I also think it's not piracy if buying it isn't owning it, and it's not piracy if you can't buy it from the original creators anymore.
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
Free release can have loopholes where they still make money through ads
