There’s a decent PS Vita version as well as Nintendo Switch, could this run on Wii U at a decent speed? I really miss the Dreamcast
It should be possible yes but it all depends if someone is willing to port it to Wii UThere’s a decent PS Vita version as well as Nintendo Switch, could this run on Wii U at a decent speed? I really miss the Dreamcast [emoji120]
It would really depend, emulators on Wii U have always been a bit iffy even with proper optimization, with a select few being an exception (Just look at PPSSPP) But that's beside the point, as the person above me stated the main factor would be if someone actually wanted to take the time to port it themselves. There’s a decent PS Vita version as well as Nintendo Switch, could this run on Wii U at a decent speed? I understand that but I don’t know the specs of the Wii U compared to the PS Vita so I thought to ask if having it running decently on the PS Vita means the Wii U can run it too or not, would be interesting if someone took the task but I understand Wii U homebrew isn’t very big.It would really depend, emulators on Wii U have always been a bit iffy even with proper optimization, with a select few being an exception (Just look at PPSSPP) But that's beside the point, as the person above me stated the main factor would be if someone actually wanted to take the time to port it themselves.
On the contrary, it's not that the scene isn't big, it's just limited. The Wii U's hardware isn't bad per se but it does require some serious optimization to make things run the way you'd like ESPECIALLY with emulation. And comparing the specs from the Wii U and Vita they're (guesstamated) around the same operating level with the Wii U being slightly better.I understand that but I don’t know the specs of the Wii U compared to the PS Vita so I thought to ask if having it running decently on the PS Vita means the Wii U can run it too or not, would be interesting if someone took the task but I understand Wii U homebrew isn’t very big.
A redream port would be possible it's very light weight even on old CPU Nvidia shield hasn't got a good CPU but can run it fine also with a little optimization it would run betterThe main problem with the Wii U is the CPU, it is just too old and slow for something like thisand lacks blast processing. Unless you code a heavily optimized emulator specifically designed for the console specs, this is very unlikely to happen.
redream is closed source, so unless the Dev wants to port it, no one can port it to anything really.Does it have to be flycast? What about redream.
Did you forget what's Retroarch is?It should be possible yes but it all depends if someone is willing to port it to Wii U

What's your point? As there is no Dreamcast core for the WiiU version of RetroArchDid you forget what's Retroarch is?
Like PS2 well we waithing if someone create a core for wii u port. What's your point? As there is no Dreamcast core for the WiiU version of RetroArch
