There have been reports of bans from that on the mig switch sub reddit
It kinda makes sense, I'm sure Nintendo can see if all the data matches the same game or not. Not just the initial data file.
So far those are the only bans I'm seeing...
See what I'm really waiting on is seeing if the "donor certificate file" method used online gets to be a major ban risk once there's enough carts out there to really start observing.
sounds like just from those twitter links above, migdiy might be a different company? out of china, with non-pre sales already live? I like that it's just a touchpad, not even a solid button. And yeah, like stonedmodder shows, apparently the...
I mean, I'm pretty sure that's what they mean by the user has to flash the cart themselves. But I too am wondering what they mean by a "solution" being usb-c??
okay based on recent conversation, things are suddenly unclear for me--Can you or can you not get online if you're using a donor cert file? it feels like there are contradictory answers here suddenly
If I understand correctly, it's a big "Yes But..." in that you have to stay connected to the turned on 3ds to use the program with Citra. It's NOT saving the file to your PC, but still to the 3DS regardless. like think of it as "streaming" the...
This seems like an amazing idea that has potential. If you can finagle getting to use the inputs on the 3ds itself while playing on the computer or whatever device, you'll have made a solution for streamers that beats everything out there right...
From what I recall it doesn't work great using the mig cartridge itself through the dumper onto your pc emulator, because the file swapping is weird inside the PCs. Regular carts work great or better than on actual hardware through the dumper...
This letter from UnlockSwitch seemed to slip by this thread. an update on all the changes they say the final product will have:

"Our solution comes with its programmer on a USB type-C port (no...
Remember, we don't know what Nintendo will and will not do. Its fully possible they have information on switches using multiple shared games etc. and just await to press the "nuke" button. We just don't know, its to early.
and an official response.

basically who knows at this point. Unlock is saying that the "review" copies were proof of concept and not actually...
