    @leon315 but how can you think it’s as simple as asking your employer for a higher wage? Jobs that require tips are pretty much all entry-level jobs, so you’re easily replaced. You have no leverage to just get more money. You need the tips.

It’s completely asinine that restaurants don’t pay their employees a decent wage, but as long as that’s the shitty situation they’re stuck in and they’re expecting tips to make ends meet, it’s unjustifiable to stiff them.
