Yes, the dlc has been dumped and if all goes well, will be translated along with the rest of the game. (if anything actually needs translated.)

Sorry guys, haven't been getting notifications that the thread was responded to for some reason. The project isn't dead, just stalled until we get more translators. At least 1 more would do wonders for our project. As for a discord, yes I have one. It is being kept very low key as of now. We will probably make it public once things get rolling and/or have an initial patch ready beyond the initial menu translation that was already in place before I started coordinating this project. Rest assured, I will only abandon this project upon my untimely death.

That's awesome news! I'd love to help, but I can't read japanese. I was gonna offer myself to transcript using an online translator, but of course that doesn't beat an actual translator. Still, if I can help in any way, I'm game. Even to translate the script to spanish if that serves any purpose

Takaki hasn't given up on a localization yet. And he did come through with the Ikkitousen DLC after a while. Hopefully we can get an official release too.

Sadly even if they did it would likely require higher firmware which means no more HENkaku...

But I'm still completely stoked for this project!

If it DOES get localized, though unlikely, I believe the assets can be dumped and merged with the japanese version for use on henkaku. Until then, the project goes on.

Also, "we have nothing to say at this time." is never a hopeful statement.

Yep, progress is definitely being made. With our new team members, the project is fairly active. No word on a beta version yet. It'll be up to the whole team which approach to take as to if we will release incremental patches or just one patch once everything has been translated. Of course I will keep this thread up to date whenever anything significant happens.

@Gholu43 As for myself, I'm definitely interested in Kenka Bancho! We got Badass Rumble and that was it, sadly.

I'm happy to update the thread when I see someone post. Admittedly, it's the rest of the team that is doing all the real work. I just saw a partial project, wished to get it finished. So, I started coordinating the team as far as bringing in more translators, putting in my input on things when appropriate etc. I'll also be a tester. Yeah, I've done a little work, but I dont really see advertising the project on 3 sites and several discord servers to be that hard of work.

Our hacker has other projects going on too. Idk what he will be looking t after uppers, but I'll definitely see what he and the rest of the team thinks about doing Kenka Bancho games afterwards.
