I'm not sure if I understand your question.
I just want to know why Grim Fandango won't run on the current version of ScummVM Wii.
It plays fine on the PC version of ScummVM
If I can play all my games on ScummVM and get rid of ResidualVM, why...
Haven't been able to find a true solution to my problem ...
I run all Wii games from USB Loader GX on a large SD card and I've created a few game forwarders using WiiGSC (Crap).
When I use these forwarders I'm greeted with the "Waiting for HDD...
Bumping this thread in the hopes that someone will have the answer, or explanation as to why it's not currently possible.
I'm enjoying the simplicity of playing Mario Kart Wii Deluxe, Newer Super Mario Bros. and Project M from patched WBFS files...
Can anyone explain why Grim Fandango will run on the old ResidualVM but not on the current "merged" version of ScummVM?
I've asked in their forums, but it's kind of dead there.

Bit of an update on this random issue ...
Found out that this crash WILL NOT happen if I have a GameCube controller plugged in.
... so take that for what you will
Sorry to dig up an old thread.
Curious if this has been tried or even simplified over the last couple years?
I'm wanting to run 2 separate USB Loader GXs ... one for Wii and one for GameCube ... all games and files are on one SD card
Did you ever find a solution to this?
I'm wanting 2 separate forwarders/channels to go to WiiFlow ... I'd like one to go to Wii games and the other to go to GameCube games.
I actually tried the exact same thing, placed them in different "app"...
Hopefully a basic question ...
I'm currently playing all my Neo Geo games through a stand alone .dol of RetroArch 1.7.5 with "FB Alpha 2012 Neo Geo v0.2.97.29"
All games seem to run perfect but I get frustrated with navigating the menu and...
I mean yeah sure but the specs are the same as a $50 model, it's just those pesky "quality of life" things driving up the price, like an actually working speaker, or buttons that don't melt, and stuff like that.
I think all in my Pi 4 was well north of 200 bucks 150ish for the Pi 4 the case the fancy cooler, then like 70 for the 500GB MicroSD then like 70 for the Xbox controller. But honestly it's a nice set up I really enjoy and to me was worth every penny. (even bought more controllers for 2 or 4 player games.) hmmm have never played any 2 player games yet
Yeah that's what I hate about the RPi, it's supposedly $30 or something but it takes an additional $200 of accessories to actually turn it into a working something.
Yeah a lot of it I consider a hobby, using Batocera I am constantly adjusting the collection adding and removing stuff, scraping the artwork. Haven't even started on some music for the theme... Also way down the road I am considering attempting to do a WiiFlow knock off lol
