I can only speak from personal experience but I have a switch that I used sysNAND CFW offline on for a long time. As an experiment I restored my "clean" NAND backup and ran sysNAND CFW connecting online to update and log into eShop to download games. No issues. I have ran it overclocked, I have...
Which is exactly why I trashed the thing and bought another USB programable one instead. $10 isn't worth my time trying to reverse engineer a cheap Chinese dongle.
I initially thought I could just wire a USB to some of the test pads but I guess it's not so simple. I didn't expect this thread...
Ok I feel this thread is spiraling a bit.
This is absolutely correct, using CFW (custom firmware) requires an exploitable switch which is achieved through hardware not software (pegascape excluded but that's only useful on specific models on certain low firmware versions). CFW is required to...
This is exciting, as someone who has the dreaded emmc failure this gives me hope that one day I'll be able to revive my dear old friend. Thank Hylia I still have my Nand dump!
Thank you so very much!! Sorry I'm almost 2 years late... I don't really check this section of temp, I usually lurk but thank you again, it means a lot!
If you wanna play the most recent games or use online you typically got to stay up to date with the latest FW. If you're using it for homebrew it's a good "rule of thumb" to keep the sysNAND as low as possible for possible future exploit options. emuNAND can be updated to the latest FW (as long...
Can you try booting into maitenance mode (turn off - hold both vol. buttons - power on still holding both vol buttons) and see if you can update/initialize that way? Hopefully doing so will debrick your console then and you can do a NAND backup and fresh Atmostphere emuNAND setup
Could you not format the mSD as exfat, transfer your NAND backup to it, and use hekate to restore the NAND? Then you should be able to boot using atmosphere
Ive honestly never heard of this one and while I think the idea is solid and if executed well would be great fun. But the trailer does NOT excite me. The physics don't look tight, the camera looks too buttery, and the art style leaves me wanting more. There is so much fun in the overall idea but...
Yeah, I've played with Dolphin's 3D ability, I've also played Rocket League in 3D using TriDef, but I'm after that "glasses free" experience. Give me a reason to whip out the 3DS again, ya know. I miss that magic of putting in a new 3DS game, slowly moving the slider up, and marveling at the...
This is really cool. I hear a lot of complaints about the graphics but those little slug cars and the overall athletic of the environment really look at home on the GameCube.
I'm curious to see this run on 3ds hopefully with 3D compatibility (yeah I'm one of those nerds that plays games with...
Am totally guilty of dealing out hacked pokemons on the playgrounds back in the day. I think I was the key supplier of modded mons in my town with prices ranging from 25 cents to $5 per monster. Custom orders available and shiny caterpies were always free.
Believe it or not, there are still some people living in an area that doesn't have access to high speed internet connections, and as a PC Gamer that lived without internet for a long time, this shit infuriates me.
Imagine being a Crash fan, buying this game, downloading it at a friend's house...
i used to go out to the recycling center every couple weeks and look at the crts and other electronics people would drop off. Usually screens were broken or severely scratched from being tossed around. Did find a good one here and there, but never anything like a 1080i widescreen crt.
I have a few of those boat anchors in my basement I tried giving away but no one wanted them, So anyone close to Columbus, Ohio area that wants them, (26", 2x 19") please come get, for free.
Is it piracy if it was released for free? Not in my opinion, but I also think it's not piracy if buying it isn't owning it, and it's not piracy if you can't buy it from the original creators anymore.
