It's more that the AI will learn code optimisation each time a port is made to figure out what to do with the next port. It should learn code changes / build commands pretty quickly.
Static linking means it's running natively in the host operating system.
It should be possible to eventually use an LLM trained on this tool to speed up the process of porting over all N64 games.
Yes. The remastered PC version has enemy behaviour differences. The N64 version of Quake 2 was built on the N64 engine for Quake 1. Essentially, it's different Quake 2 levels with Quake 1 gameplay.
Quake 2 N64 would be a good candidate for this.
The remastered PC version has annoying-as-fuck gameplay differences. It would be good to get the original running natively on PC.
As each year passes, retro games become harder and harder to play, as the physical media begins to fall apart and becomes more difficult and expensive to obtain. The onward marching of time and evolution of technology also means that video games...

I spoke too soon. Am still having to use the workaround at the start of each level to go into the menu where I select the Main Menu option, save state there, when reloading I go immediately back into the main menu and use the password screen...
Interesting. Handbrake has defaults which are slightly outside what's needed for ripping PAL DVDs.
I'm guessing Make MKV is doing video at CRF 24 and audio at 128k.
Animation content is likely to rip from DVD without issue, especially if it's US DVDs being ripped to 720x480. It's just some content has trouble at 576p and moving the audio codec to MP3 frees up CPU.
@K3Nv2 I got some cheapies at wallys, that are pretty good, already have lost a few expensive ones (one falls out and gone, can't find) while cutting grass so bought some cheap ones, and of course never lose these cheap ones. (Cheap meaning only $35, compared to air buds which I only have 1 of 2 now)
