Tutorial Quick NAND Backup Management Guide, reduce the size of your backups and make them fail-safe

I think it's fine unless you wanted a clean NAND for playing online with later in the future but I think you would want/have to disable autorcm for that anyways when and if you decide you want to try playing online with a clean NAND. Otherwise, if you don't care about any of that you're...

Tutorial Quick NAND Backup Management Guide, reduce the size of your backups and make them fail-safe

That's interesting. At least now we know. Maybe someone will make a tool for it in the future or add an option in to 0 blank space in nand backups.

Tutorial Quick NAND Backup Management Guide, reduce the size of your backups and make them fail-safe

Zipping compresses the least amount but is much quicker that other compression methods. If you want to save more space compress to 7zip with lzma2 and solid compression or to a rar with winrar and solid compression. Using a larger dictionary size will also give you better compression (meaning...

Tutorial Quick NAND Backup Management Guide, reduce the size of your backups and make them fail-safe

I hope nobody updated to 6.2.0 by accident or at least has backups saved somewhere. Yes, many improvements and revisions were made. I don't mind feedback.

Hacking Question Pikachu-bricked my Switch and want to learn nand backups

    1. No, but it can save time if you don't do updates again after restore, but I would rather just keep only the "clean" NAND backup of my switch in it's initial state. Unless you burn all your fuses, but I believe there is a way to ignore fuse count when restoring? Not sure, don't quote me on...

Hacking SWITCH NOOB PARADISE - Ask questions here

Basically what he said ^ @petergrffin2018 The only way you can make it as if you never used CFW is if you backup your entire NAND before you use the CFW, stay offline while using the CFW, then restore the clean NAND backup. Nintendo has a lot of telemetry, logging, etc for detecting these kinds...

Hacking SWITCH NOOB PARADISE - Ask questions here

Can't run homebrew without a cfw I believe. I think the simplest way would be to just rcm > payload a bootloader like hekate > launch a cfw like atmosphere from bootloader > use hbmenu to open There's definitely a risk. If you really want avoid a ban you'd have backup your nand, stay...

Hacking SWITCH NOOB PARADISE - Ask questions here

I did check here.. but it's empty cause I think tinfoil registered those files to the bad install (the spinning icons that are displayed as unplayable games on my home screen). Can't run homebrew without a cfw I believe. I think the simplest way would be to just rcm > payload a bootloader like...

Hacking SWITCH NOOB PARADISE - Ask questions here

Any way to find rogue files from bad installs? It seems that a few bad usb installs through tinfoil is taking up space on my SD card. Cant delete from horizon because it just shows as a spinner with the '+' for settings option greyed out.

Tutorial Quick NAND Backup Management Guide, reduce the size of your backups and make them fail-safe

Yours looks how it should, I just separated my BOOT1 and BOOT0 backups to a folder called eMMC BOOT0_1 and my rawnand.bin to a folder called eMMC RAW GPP on my own so I could remember which is which, but that's entirely unneeded. TL;DR we have the exact same files, I just have them saved in...

You can make a simple *.bat script file with notepad to enter the input for you: ( echo 35.236.10.223:11451 echo 1 ) | lan-play-win64.exe Put your server ip : port choice in the first echo line, then your interface number in the second one. Replace the lan-play-win64.exe with the name of your...

and also some of nintendo's first party games
  • ColdBlitz @ ColdBlitz:
some of the best selling games on the switch are wii u ports (that are priced way too high
like come on 60 for a game thats a decade old??)
    +1
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@ColdBlitz, i forgot breath of the wild released for the Wii u
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
$60 for a game that's a decade old might be unheard of on PC but actually is not uncommon on consoles
    +1
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
especially Nintendo because they only ever lower the price of games when they do a greatest hits/platinum hits/players choice re-release
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@The Real Jdbye, and the HD collections released for 7th gen consoles too
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
but they don't seem to have done any of those for the switch yet and maybe never will
  • ColdBlitz @ ColdBlitz:
I think we all forgot breath of the wild released for the wii u tbh
    +1
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@The Real Jdbye, tbh the HD collections are more justified since they include more than just 1 game per copy
