    They have completely different origin though but they do sound similar and the Archie original characters can't be used in IDW etc....because of copyright bs

    I thougt you would know since you seem to be familiar with many Sonic things. He is from the discontinued Archie comics and Sega doesn't have rights to this character now. He was also partially "created" by Ken Penders, and Mike something but...

    No replies in this? I used to watch the cartoon back in the days (but was more fond of the adventures one and it was longer), though I lost memory of most of it since. @Luke94 probably knows all about this though
