Good news, it seems the SX Core firmware was dumped ( https://twitter.com/hexkyz/status/1314230672844701696 ) so now one can flash custom updated fw on it.
there's also no free option for v1 ipatched users too. You want homebrew now = you need a modchip. If you don't mind waiting for a possible exploit (that might never come too) then sure, wait for the free option.
Cleanup before launching payload is just a button push that clears some initial...
You stay in 10.2.0 forever. Still a better option that having a Lite without any hack at all (tons of games to play in a 3 year old system) and my guess is that it will be a while until games requiring fw update appear (and if so, maybe a solution will be found for them too).
I seriously doubt any updates to SX OS will come up now, unless the remaining ppl at the site just release source code (but who are they and do they have access to all that?).
yes if it's a v1 Switch. v2 Marikos (and Lites) are not supported (yet?)

I'm wondering, is it possible to buy a chip now from those aliexpress resellers or have they all gone underground? There must be quite some inventory left that wasn't seized.
And, more importantly for me having a v1 with SX Core, will it stop working on the next FW nintendo puts out even if I'm...
I used SX Core on my ipatched v1 switch to use Atmosphere and never ran SX OS CFW ( https://gbatemp.net/threads/installing-atmosphere-on-sx-core-v1-ipatched-is-this-the-correct-way.574536/ ). I never had to request a licence for SX OS as I just used it at boot up and went to Atmosphere from then...
I was worried that TX would stop developing SX OS at some time in the future when switch was outdated so I installed Atmosphere straight away on my ipatched v1 with SX Core. I guess it sucks to have a v2 or Lite now as they will forever be stuck on SX OS v.3.0.5, however, I also fear that a...
Did mine yesterday (v1 ipatched) and got it working on the first try. What really really helped was using double side tape under the modchip ribbon as STHETIX proposed in his excellent tutorial ( https://www.bitchute.com/video/a48JbatO2sd6/ ). Using that tape holds the ribbon down and those tiny...
Thanks for your replies, what do you mean by this:
Does this enable a separate emunand with SX OS? So that I can have OFW Sysnand and in the SD one Atmosphere emunand and one SX OS emunand?
Hi all, ready to install the SX Core on my ipatched v1 Switch on FW 10.2.0. The easier way forward would be using the SX OS provided with the modchip however I fear that sometime in the future Team Xecuter will undestandably stop supporting it while Atmosphere is more likely to be kept updated...
