I have a plan.. I'll use the video modes from madDogMcGree since this seems to be developed in the same fashion and try to hex these into Dragon'sLair.
I find this tool very interesting:

@WiiPower
Did you ever release newer versions of your tool?
I suspect DigitalLeisure had a reason for not releasing this title in PAL territories..
A quick ASCII search for some keywords like "video" or "pal" gave some very interesting excerpts here:
Also I guess they've been using some kind of dvd-control-framework for the videos in the game,
I...
That will be a challenge, yes, but I have some knowledge of hex-editing... hope it will be enough ;-)
THANK YOU SO MUCH for taking the time to write this information down, I really appreciate it!
I'll have to dive into it bit by bit..
In the meantime here's the diff from the original DOL and...
I'm only judging from the comments made..
e.g. https://gbatemp.net/threads/usb-loader-1-1-with-video-mode-patches.144740/#post-1866537
and TvsC ntsc-j was one of the games that made me mad.
I'm not caring about composite, RGB through scart is what I'm after.
I guess if a game is programmed...
Exactly.
I already tried GWP and VMC but neither one with any success...
Component cables work, I know, but I need to get this running on a CRT setup. There must be a way...
Sorry, I justs posted in the GWP thread because I thought this topic was closed.
I'm sorry to necro-bump this thread but I'm pretty desperate here trying to get "Dragon's Lair Trilogy" and other NTSC games to run in PAL60 on my PAL Wii with RGB/Scart cable on a CRT.
Any method to patch the video modes fail, giving me either a red screen while the game is running or a dead...
I have the modern stuff all set up, but I lack the ability to play ntsc MonkeyKing and DragonsLair over RGB on my PAL Wii...
Reading the feedbacks here, I had high hopes it may work while no other loader uses this code, right?

I found it funny cause many many years ago, had a roommate in college that did this same dumbass branding of the school logo, but it didn't look anything like it after it healed. Just looked like a birthmark.
