Nintendo Switch firmware version 17.0.0 released

If you've got a bit of money to spare, I got my OLED done for about $140 at the time. Looking at the website where I bought by installation service, the price has increased slightly to $129-$149, likely fluctuating depending on the version of the Switch you have. Even better, the shop I sent...

Nintendo Switch firmware version 17.0.0 released

I just love how Nintendo told me I had to update in order to launch any of my games, then promptly updates my console to 17.0 and preventing me from accessing Atmosphere. I'm assuming that the reason I'm getting a Fusee fatal error unable to locate warmboot is because Atmosphere is currently not...

Hacking Hardware Misc Is Wayayeo Safe/Legit

Sorry for late reply, work had me busy. Got my Switch back from Wayayeo on Saturday. Best I can tell, they performed the installation perfectly. Booted right up into Hekate, got my SD card all set up, and now I can run whatever CFW I feel like. Took a little over a week for me to ship it out...

Hacking Hardware Misc Is Wayayeo Safe/Legit

As an update, I just now got a text message from Wayayeo stating that my OLED was shipping out today (Thursday), and they sent me a picture showing the box and its shipping label. I used the tracking number on that label to confirm that yes UPS is awaiting delivery of the package, so here's to...

Hacking Hardware Misc Is Wayayeo Safe/Legit

I ended up buying their service myself on the 22nd and shipped the same day. USPS tracking number said my OLED had been delivered Friday, and it is now Tuesday. I'll give the place until tomorrow to either send me the email that my OLED is on the way back, or I'll reach out to them myself for an...

    Possible Modchip for OLED

Hey, thanks for the reply. Feel a little more comfortable in my decision to go modchip. I also went and bookmarked your help links blog, as I'm undoubtedly going to have more questions a few months down the line once I get everything installed.

    Possible Modchip for OLED

So apologies is this is not the place to be asking this-- I forgot I even had a gbatemp account but figured this might be the easiest place for me to ask compared to the cesspool that is Reddit. Looking at getting a modchip for my white OLED I bought not too long ago. Don't have my old original...

The stimulus bill includes a tax break for the 1%

My biggest issue with Trump is that he's a spineless moron. And that's all. With COVID-19 literally knocking on his door, he has the power to completely override Congress and whatever complaints they might have in regards to closing United States borders and attempting to prevent an influx of...

Speaking of my PS3 i havent downloaded any games yet bc my wifi is too slow
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
and also because blackouts here are very common and that could damage the console
  • MysticStarlight @ MysticStarlight:
Do you have a surge protector or an UPS?
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Yea but to play the next gen games, you must have those games on internal, or buy the official ssd expansion cards, which are expensive
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@MysticStarlight, dunno what each one of those are
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@MysticStarlight, my PS3 was already modded when my dad bought it for me and my brother
  • MysticStarlight @ MysticStarlight:
A surge protector is a device that protects your electronics from fluctuations. I recommend having your console plugged into one of those
  • MysticStarlight @ MysticStarlight:
An UPS is even better because it has an internal battery that keeps your system on even if the power goes out, but it's much more expensive obviously
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@MysticStarlight, oh i recall seeing one in some in the houses of some relatives, including my dad's apartment
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@MysticStarlight, although whatever device we plug into them stops getting power anyways lol
  • MysticStarlight @ MysticStarlight:
    that's weird
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@MysticStarlight, and oh i was talking about ups

  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
On the series s/x you can use a external HD but any next gen games must be on your internal ssd, or you can buy a ssd expansion card, but pricey. Any xbone, 360, or og Xbox games can be played from external tho.
