Turning a game into a channel

I have backups of some games that I’d like to launch from the Home Menu instead of going into USBLoader GX. I’m also hoping to have these games run entirely off the Wii console, without an SD card. Is something like that even possible?

How to turn .sav file into TwilightMenu++ save file?

Ever since I got a DS (well, actually a little after that) I've been using an R4 flashcart I found on Amazon. The software I use puts the save files for my games into .sav files. Now, I have upgraded to a DSi and have installed Unlaunch and am now using TwilightMenu++ as my default game...

    Baldi’s Basics on N64?

The graphics meet the system requirements, the game is (I think) smaller that SM64 and we could use something like the following controls: (If I forgot anything, lmk) Joystick - move L/R -switch items Z - dash D-Pad L/R - look D-Pad Up - use item D-Pad Down - look behind you A Button -...

Hacking Is there a way to change system autoboot on the Wii so it boots to a channel instead?

I want to use WiiMC Forwarder as the only bootable channel, including the Menu, or at least have it autoboot without needing BootMii. Is there a way for that to happen?

Is there a method I could use to transfer save data & channels from one Wii with one MAC address to another Wii with another MAC address?

Assuming that the MAC address is the way Nintendo keeps everyone in line, not copying games from one Wii to another.

If I wanted to migrate from Wii to Wii U, are there some things I’d need to uninstall?

I have WiiLink/Riiconnect24 channels on my Wii. In case you didn’t know, those channels are specific to Wii, Wii Mini, and vWii. I also have a theme active and some cIOS to run USBLoader GX. Would I need to uninstall any of those before using Nintendo’s Wii Transfer software? Edit: The problem...

and also because blackouts here are very common and that could damage the console
  • MysticStarlight @ MysticStarlight:
Do you have a surge protector or an UPS?
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Yea but to play the next gen games, you must have those games on internal, or buy the official ssd expansion cards, which are expensive
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@MysticStarlight, dunno what each one of those are
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@MysticStarlight, my PS3 was already modded when my dad bought it for me and my brother
  • MysticStarlight @ MysticStarlight:
A surge protector is a device that protects your electronics from fluctuations. I recommend having your console plugged into one of those
  • MysticStarlight @ MysticStarlight:
An UPS is even better because it has an internal battery that keeps your system on even if the power goes out, but it's much more expensive obviously
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@MysticStarlight, oh i recall seeing one in some in the houses of some relatives, including my dad's apartment
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@MysticStarlight, although whatever device we plug into them stops getting power anyways lol
  • MysticStarlight @ MysticStarlight:
    that's weird
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@MysticStarlight, and oh i was talking about ups

  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
On the series s/x you can use a external HD but any next gen games must be on your internal ssd, or you can buy a ssd expansion card, but pricey. Any xbone, 360, or og Xbox games can be played from external tho.
