I was playing 1945 I & II: The Arcade Games and I noticed the Start Button refused to work on the game start screen. I had to re-boot and plug in my Playstation 1 controller (didn't test with PS2 controller but my guess is it would work)
There seems to be a problem with joysticks too.
Someone...
I guess this is probably the case. Dragon Quest looks pretty vibrant so it must be alright. My worry was if the blacks were crushed but that is why I did the PS1 to PS2 compare with SaGa and it matches apart from a bit of color tone.
It has been a long time since I played a PS2 and back then it was on a CRT. Now I'm using S-Video cables into my RetroTHINK 2x and into my BenQ monitor which supports 240p-1080i/p.
I'm finding games like Baldur's Gate DA 1 seem pretty dark in the menus. There is a brightness option in game that...
I got a 3d printed one, just need to file it down a bit to fit. I'll load up my SSD to the max, then I'll manage it via Ethernet later. Thanks for the replies!
I have two adapters, the OG PS2 Network one with the IDE and Ethernet ports. I can use this board to add SATA support while retaining ethernet. https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005002912278512.html
My second adapter I'm using is just the SATA one without the ports, the GameStar one.
My goal...
This was the adapter I was looking at - I also only use SSDs. https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005002912278512.html
There isn't much to this, just attach the ribbon and screw in the PCB.
I'll check out those other options then - but I should ask what the transfer speed is with the PS2 via...
I have the OG Network Adapter for my FAT PS2 with the Ethernet ports and IDE drive connections, I also got a SATA one but sadly it does not having working ports for Ethernet. I'm thinking of buying the board on Aliexpress to mod my OG one but is it possible to transfer games from my PC via...
Thank you.
I'll compare the DL list here http://wikibin.org/articles/list-of-playstation-2-dvd-9-games-2.html with the OPL list to see which ones have a problem and if I would even play those.
Right now I can buy 100 DVD+R for around $20, and 50 DVD-R for $20 with a sale currently online.
Okay, thanks! Just wanted to be sure. Someone wrote on reddit that -r are easier on the laser than +r but I don't know the truth of that so I thought to check which was the best. I know this version of my PS2 supports +r and they're also cheaper to buy.
I'm looking to get some DVDs to burn games that have compatibility issues with OPL. I'm not sure what the best format would be? -R, +R, or a RW one? I've played some of my PS1 backups just fine using Verbatim CD-Rs, so I'll be getting the Verbatim DVDs.
Yea it isn't a big deal the problem is easily resolved with the external power supply to the BlueRetro Core. I just wish I didn't have to add another plug to the mix, especially when I like my Wii Remote to be wireless. This would force me to have a wired connection, unless I use a power bank...
I'm just thinking the BlueRetro requires more jucie than 3V. My Nintendo Wii Classic Controller Pro works with my Wii Remotes without any issue. My BlueRetro Core works with all my other systems with their respective adapters as well.
After looking some more I think the problem is the...
The Wii Remote just stays as is with the AA batteries. The BlueRetro Core is what I'm using an external power source for to power it on as it cannot draw enough from the Wii Remote. This core doesn't provide any power source to the actual Wii Remote itself. I then attach the adapter which plugs...
I have a BlueRetro Core I use for my GameCube, PS1, and other systems without any issue. I noticed when I got the Wii adapter it doesn't seem to power the core properly, as if it needs an external source. I did test it by plugging in my core to a micro usb and it works. Some people posted online...
although i ended up accidentally changing my nand with no way of going back bc i didn't know you needed a gamecube controller to restore it (i have a wii minus/1.1, which doesn't have gamecube controller support)
and if i find the sd card i have my NAND backed up on, i can not only restore the NAND if i solder the right part in, but i can also put my NAND on dolphin, then i can play dolphin online, like PMEX Remix or MKWii Riibalanced
