I use it with my PC with a Mayflash adapter, and it picks it up and reads it as an XBox controller, so all my PC-game controller needs are...
I got the black USB one with red buttons, I don't think I used it much either except to test it. It doesn't have that aforementioned rubber ring/stiffness tho sadly.
In terms of modern controllers, I'd say the Nintendo Switch Pro Controller. (sadly not listed) I've owned one since April 2020, and still no sign of drift. Also good for Tetris!
My current favorite all around is the 8bitdo Ultimate. Low latency, perfect size, nice and heft, wide range of compatibility, works pretty good for everything. But personally I prefer to use different controllers a lot and for simpler games I do...
