I was thinking about getting Pretendo for my 3DS and since it requires CFW / Homebrew to be installed, I was hoping to get some advice on how to go about doing this.

On a side note, I also was hoping to be able to mod some of my games once my 3DS was modded but from what I have seen online, it seems like I may need a new Micro SD card so, I wanted to know if there was a recommended size that I should get.

Here are the current specs for my system as of this post. ( this may change in the future)

I have a >New< Nintendo 3DS XL, The last time I checked my system settings (which was a few years ago.), I was running version 11.16.0-49U ( I plan on updating it just as soon as I can either find my 3DS charger or get a new one.)

(Edit): I have now updated to 11.17-50U.

I'm also using the original 4GB Micro SD that came with the system when I first got it.

I currently have mostly cartridge games but I do plan on getting some more digital ones later.

Any advice would be appreciated! =D

Well really SD card size is up to you. The larger the SD the longer the system will take to load up. Largest games on the system are like 5gb most are less than 1gb. Dependent on how many games you own I'd go for 128gb maybe.

Now for modding the console I suggest following https://3ds.hacks.guide/ it is the most updated source of information. Just make sure to following the steps and all will work.

I'd recommend backing up all your cartridge games onto the SD card anyway once you hack it.

I'd also support 128gb. Mine's got a slew of 3DS and DS games, about every GBA title worth having, Megadrive games, SNES games, some PS1 games and a bunch of other homebrew stuff besides. It's not full yet and I've pretty much got everything I want. Should do you just fine.

GBAtemp should be legally obligated to ban them, as its against the law to collect information from users under 13 because of COPPA. :tpi:

Back when Oculus Rift was still starting out and being demoed around, they modded existing games to use it as a 360° immersive screen thing and that was AMAZING.

The tech isn't there for affordable power enough VR headsets at a good market value yet sadly, oculus had a good idea but didn't have enough funds for marketing iirc

But now it's "can I use my VR set with my racing games, that would be neat?" "ONLY IF YOU USE OUR DILDOSTICK CONTROLLERS AND RUN THE GAME ON OUR ANDROID-UNDERPOWERED BRICK"

The tech to have quality VR goggles at an affordable price is here, but every set has to have 4 additional controllers and be standalone.

These are the same type of gamers that spend $2,000 on a GPU when a $600 GPU gives nearly the same outcome which is what the market looks at for them to do spend more on unneeded bs

If we're talking AAA titles a vr headset would be priced at nearly the same cost as a midrange gaming pc maybe even double
