It does. I wanted to crack it open, but it's still under warranty. I'm trying to find a way to send it back to where I got it from. I just hope they don't format anything.
99% of warranty work will say "we are not responsible for your data"
Not to mention you might have to fight it but laws in places say they have to show your actions caused the fault and removing a drive should not do that.
From what I've read online, it's a battery issue and and it's a common one with most Lenovo laptops. I just don't feel confident enough with taking it apart.

Then get somebody who is able to help you, in the worst case pay for it.
Warranty repairs often include factory reset or you might just receive a different computer. You have almost no chance asking a big company to cooperate with a request like "Please keep the data on that drive safe."
i used to go out to the recycling center every couple weeks and look at the crts and other electronics people would drop off. Usually screens were broken or severely scratched from being tossed around. Did find a good one here and there, but never anything like a 1080i widescreen crt.

Is it piracy if it was released for free? Not in my opinion, but I also think it's not piracy if buying it isn't owning it, and it's not piracy if you can't buy it from the original creators anymore.
