Nope. My grandmother died at home and at high age. It was my aunt dying of cancer prematurely with pain which can't be described.
Let's put it that way: I'm really disappointed in laws forcing a human being to go through this – while doing the same to a dog gets punished because of cruelty to animals.

Thankfully there are associations in Switzerland that also help terminal ill foreigners to get access to medical…

…assisted suicide. No, I wouldn't jump from the hospital because of two things:
* Knowing my luck, I'll be the rare case of surviving this… making things worse. Period.
* If it does work: It is selfish and disgusting to force other people cleaning off a mess consisting of blood, bones and flesh.
What I condemn is a law not allowing me to just buy Pentobarbital and this without(!) some kind of prescription.

I am the only one who may rule over my body and my life. Nobody has the right to force me going on if I don't want anymore. The last person I would entrust the decision in this regard is a doctor.

I hope you aren't surprised about me bringing up this topic. The visual novel (almost finished it) forces the memories and thoughts into the foreground.

No offense but I think you should really get help with your depression. I've had many bad things happen to me IRL which is way too personal to say on here and I know how it feels, but you should know that there are people around you who still care, especially on the Temp including me.

I've been always fascinated with your knowledge about technology and I want you to continue posting stuff like this other than the negative side of things, which does makes me worry about you more than anything.

@M4x1mumReZ I'm not suicidal right now. That was > 20 years ago. The reason for me trying (obviously in vain) to electrocute myself, were the "professionals" responsible for helping with mental illness. Forcing a 14 year young teenager to take overdoses of Risperidone to fight "hallucinations" which turned out to be the truth and would not go away, isn't what I'd call grace of charity.

I'm already through all kinds of therapy and will just continue taking my prescription drugs to be able to sleep and that's it.

@Nikokaro recommended "Narcissu", I'm reading it… so it shouldn't be surprising that I think terminal illness and ethical discussions about medical assisted suicide. I've seen a person that I loved degenerate and suffer, crying in agony… it won't happen to me.

Anyway we were discussing the alternative of dying slowly by terminal illness or suicide: only in this case I would admit the latter and in no other! Instead the cure for depression is dialogue, human relationship, giving of oneself, caring for those in need, forgetting oneself to embrace the world.

"only in this case I would admit the latter and in no other!"
And thankfully you are not allowed to decide for me. The majority agreeing with you and forcing "help" on anybody deviating, I'd never discuss the topic suicide or even announce plans when being suicidal. Nobody will lock me up and torture me "for my own good" ever again!

Are you so sure that the body belongs to you, that it is yours? You are the fruit of two human beings, also part of a chain.Body nourished by food processed and grown by others. Language and words given by others, clothes and houses made by others. No one is totally alone, but interdependent. You have duties and responsibilities to others,to give your best and not throw yourself away.

However, it is useless to dwell on the past: certainly they could not allow you to hurt yourself. Anyway, today you are here, you are quite well, you don't have any serious health problems, many users appreciate and support you (like me): try to appreciate and live fully the beauty of little daily things, and give the best you can in the here and now.

"you don't have any serious health problems"
Wrong.

"certainly they could not allow you to hurt yourself."
If you try defending them by trying to explain their behavior with “saving me”, you are falling for the same mistake as the studied scientists (doctors), who should have basic knowledge in physics and have heard from the principle of causality. My suicide attempts came after the "help" of these people.

"Are you so sure that the body belongs to you, that it is yours?"
Disappointing words from somebody ranting against violence on women very recently. Yes, I'm absolutely sure my body belongs to me and no other person has the slightest right of co-determination on it.

"You are the fruit of two human beings, also part of a chain."
Specious reasoning. Any human belongs to themselves, not to the ancestors.

You deliberately misunderstood the meaning of my talk. I certainly didnt mean that your body belongs to others, but that it belongs to no one,is not a possession, but is based on relationship and must live in relationship with others. Violence against women has nothing to do with the freedom to suicide. This negativity and dishonesty in interpreting my thinking (selecting what suits you) embitter and disappoint me.

But I understand you: I understand your past suffering and fears, and I forgive you and stand by you. I certainly don't want to get into a fight over some misspoken or inappropriate words. Let's cultivate a peaceful atmosphere of solidarity and friendship together, come on! 😉

I can accept your opinion and live with it – now please accept mine. It won't change anyway

From legal standpoint I'm thoroughly protected against any intervention by institutions such as psychiatry. Due to a loophole in law, one can use the circular reasoning tactics of psychiatry against them – effectively preventing any forced treatment, even in case of self-harm
The method stood the test in multiple law courts.
