Wow OP, you're right. I never noticed that before, and I've been on here for nearly four years.
Also @KleinesSinchen it might not be so, especially if you add emulation sections. Several N64 titles were popular; it was just the lack of support for the console that has it in of itself not be relevant today.

If you suggested a section for N64 you'd get the well-known, condescending rhetoric question "Does topic X have too many threads in off-topic (or other+oldies in this case)? No? See: No need for an additional section!" and since the XenForo upgrade followed by "Simply create a group for it." …which will get zero attention
