Should've bought it from IKEA, all their stuff comes with tags the size of Apple's EULA.

if the 2 sides look the same, does it really matter if it's upside down?

i KNOW but i shouldnt have to do that. it should be easier to find the top/bottom tag so i Know which way to put it the first time so i dont end up trying to make it fit sideways and then feel like the world's dumbest catguy to ever live for it when I realize it's sideways

maybe it is but it wouldn't be an issue if the damn tag was easier to find

If you remember which side the opening is on, it's not really hard to put it on the right way.

f for the night is this router still not detecting ps4 PPPoE settings and I haven't learned linksys back end to configure it yet
  • Sicklyboy @ Sicklyboy:
I gotta try getting mine modded one of these days
  • ZeroT21 @ ZeroT21:
Hmmm, win 10 is about to croak supposedly, linux maybe, but I have no idea if the hardware will be fully compat
  • ZeroT21 @ ZeroT21:
answers on the internet are so iffy
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
Hope you're not getting your info on Reddit lol.
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
    @Sicklyboy, don't you got linksys
  • Sicklyboy @ Sicklyboy:
No I run a virtual OPNsense firewall appliance lol

  • ZeroT21 @ ZeroT21:
    google search algorithm is nutters
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
    @Sicklyboy, opensense newer than openwrt?
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
Google isn't very helpful anymore, you get recommended loads of crap that doesn't solve the thing that you're looking for.

  • Sicklyboy @ Sicklyboy:
@K3Nv2, afaik yeah but I also don't think that it runs on home grade routers like openwrt/dd-wrt does. OPNsense runs on full-on x86 PC hardware
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
Sadly openwrt seems to be dying for support unless it's just. Anew name
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
Like made by the same devs different architecture
  • Sicklyboy @ Sicklyboy:
idk, I mean it had a new release back in March https://github.com/openwrt/openwrt/releases
  • Sicklyboy @ Sicklyboy:
Not sure how recent hardware it supports though
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
I mean for 1st party routers iirc linksys use to support it
  • Sicklyboy @ Sicklyboy:
ahhhh that I have no idea
  • Sicklyboy @ Sicklyboy:
    pretty cool though if so
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
Or from what ive heard ways to set custom imgs for 1st party routers so locked down now days
