Well I have my Discord as always, but recently, I've been holding a bit of it off when adding new people because I've really want to see how the person is first before ultimately becoming friends, or whatever you call it.

As much as I would like to say friends, I'm starting to just believe that it's just people that I get along with cause I'll possibly never meet you guys in person until I get much older pretty much, lol. It's still awesome to have the feeling though, especially if there's one's that wouldn't mind opening up to playing Retro games with me.

Aye, well that's alright as well! Besides, safety on the internet should always be a top priority!

Yep! At least I have gotten you on here, and best of all im fairly active. I don't have anxiety either because I don't mind getting to know new people. Other than Puyo Puyo, what other types of gems do you enjoy?

Some other fantastic games. Marble Blast does sound familiar though. If you're wondering the tylf og guy that I am, I just like selective Retro games but the most to top it all is Terarria. I love that game so much that it's affecting my ability to come up with other games to play.

I can't get bored of it, either. Because of tModLoader, the way to play mods with Terraria, I can't play the game as it's originally intended snd there's a vast selection of mods to choose from. I was eventually burnt out but gotten into it again.

Ah, I've played it multiple times, but could never really get into it.
But I've thought about trying it again with mods!

I AM SORRY TRO REACT TO THIS MESSAGE LATE... If you want to have someone to play mods with, you got someone! Please keep in mind though that I don't play most of the popular Terraria mods like Calamity. I am much more of a relaxed guy, with mods that improve on the vanilla experience.l

If you don't mind, did you make it past pre-hardmode? And what are some of the things that caused you to lose interest in the game?

A known thing I tend to see with new players is that because of how pre-hardmode is staged, a lot of the new players will find it boring, and they will drop the game off at that stage.

BUT, there is ALWAYS a way to make the game much better at that point. With Journey mode, it makes enemies and bosses more bearable to fight, and with more people, it makes the experience a lot more fun because you have somebody else to play with to help survive along with you.

Ultimately, I won' force people that don't really have interest to play it with me because I understand people's differences with taste of games. I just wished that people didn't gave up during the pre-hardmode stages because it drags on for so long. Mods will greatly make this part of the game better, trust me.

I APOLOGISE if this was a lengthy read; just like I said above, I tend to talk about the games that I love the most, and it's pretty difficult to do it under these limited conditions. Now this is the part where we might be able to use the IRC chat, but Idk how receiving messages will work without me having to check constantly, (unless you can ping within Private DMs and whatnot)

That's alright! It was months ago, but I don't remember what difficulty I chose (probably) normal, I do remember all I did was fiddle around with it for a bit, die a few times, and then unfortunately, refund the game. So I don't have too much knowledge of the game. >﹏<

I won't force, but I honestly think you should revisit the game. The game has been much better in terms of keeping pre-hardmode more streamlined, and the type of mods that I play will greatly expand the experience of said mode.

There's also a mod that allows you to use the Wiki in game if you need help with anything! Most veterans like me say that using the wiki shouldn't be needed if you're playing the game for the first time, but imo, nothing stops you from using it. You're free to play the game however you want.

Changing the topic a little bit because I don't want to get too carried away: One thing I would like to know about some people is how much busy. As much as I have School, boy Scouts, and exercise., I manage to have a lot of free time on myself. What's say you?

A woman with no arms and no legs was sitting on a beach. A man comes along and the woman says, "I've never been hugged before." So the man feels bad and hugs her. She says "Well i've also never been kissed before." So he gives her a kiss on the cheek. She says "Well I've also never been fucked before." So the man picks her up, and throws her in the ocean and says "Now you're fucked."

anyways, we need to re-normalize physical media

Agreed, that why I try to buy all my games on disc, Xbox anyways. Switch games (which I pirate tbh) don't matter much, I stay offline 24/7 anyways.

  • cearp @ cearp:
@BakerMan - you can still "own" digital media, arguably easier and better than physical since you can make copies and backups, as much as you like.

    The issue is DRM
  • cearp @ cearp:
You can buy drm free games / music / ebooks, and if you keep backups of your data (like documents and family photos etc), then you shouldn't lose the game. but with a disk, your toddler could put it in the toaster and there goes your $60

    :rofl2:
  • cearp @ cearp:
still, I agree physical media is nice to have. just pointing out the issue is drm
  • rqkaiju2 @ rqkaiju2:
i like physical media because it actually feels like you own it. thats why i plan on burning music to cds
  • cearp @ cearp:
It's nice to not have to have a lot of physical things though, saves space
