    PS2 Modding / PS3

I've been in America for the last month. I've enjoyed the food, not working, meeting old friends and driving, but alas, tomorrow I return to Japan. My last six months in Japan have been poor and while I hope the next (and for the next few years, final) six will be better, I've braced my self...

    The Job

I love my kids (students that is - I am in no way a parent), I'm OK with where I'm living, and my apartment is amazingly awesome. But I went ahead and applied to a job working on English scripts at a major video game company in Shinjuku. I don't know what I'll do if I get the job (though I...

Perhaps it started with them, but people who took loans/mortgages they could not afford also have some of the blame.

11th grade still makes you a kid. This crap really won't matter in 2 months, let alone 12. Also business and friendship never works.

Ha, enjoy it. If you think it gets any better try cooking for yourself and cleaning your own house, plus a real job on top of it.

I can't speak for the British, but in Japan we have door slips for letters/CDs/books/games. Anything bigger than that usually has to be signed for. I've been getting a lot of crap in the mail the last few weeks; used books and games from Amazon, and I just bought an new iPod classic. And...

Comment by 'kikuchiyo' in 'University Is Too Easy'

As has been mentioned, intro classes are all easy. They want you all to be on the same level when it gets harder. You will be loving those classes when it gets hard - and I'm sure its hard at somewhere like MIT. For example, I majored in Asian Studies (which was kind of a joke) but I had a...

There's some decent stuff up here. I used to live in Kansai, so I know western Japan pretty well (I could still probably make it on the loop and Keihan lines just fine). My next big trip in Japan is going to be "back home," as such.

It's not my first festival or even the first one I've been in (Aomori's Nebuta is open to anyone with the yukata) but I've lived in my town for a year now and (second year in Japan) and it's the first time I was involved with my neighborhood (I was mostly pulling the float with the kids but I...

They're not my kids. Just my students. The one in the middle is in full Japanese outfit. Geishas wear face whitening powder. It's a traditional part of wearing a kimono.
