What does this mean on Waninkoko's Twitter page?

Quite possibly also related to KaKaRoTo's comments about Hermes' JB payload coding, although KaKaRoTo did later clarify that he meant nothing personal towards Hermes. EDIT: punctuation

    PS1/2 History of PS2 Modding?

Messiah came later. First were the chips that required a swap with GameShark or ActionReplay (Neo, NeoKey) You could solder one internally (Neo), and there was a USB version that still required a single wire to be soldered (NeoKey). Then there were all sorts of "tray eject" chips (DVDKey...

    Hacking SNEEK+DI quick guide

I have that drive (in silver). It works for me with SNEEK+DI and UNEEK+DI but only if I either: 1) Use the "No SD card + reset button" trick. 2) Modify the code as seen here: Slow USB drive fix Edit: Forgot to mention that I'm starting SNEEK from bootmii/boot2. It should work fine from...

    Hacking HBC 1.0.8 Update

It is possible to "fake" the ConsoleID when running SNEEK and still run HBC. Are you at all concerned about this impacting your data? It is probably not statistically significant, but it might be worth noting in your results (for the sake of accuracy).

Use NUSD to download the IOS files (IOS80v6943 and IOS60v6174). Make sure you select the option to decrypt them when downloading - this will result in the .app files being placed in the download folders.

    Hacking SNEEK+DI quick guide

r116 also did not fix my HD boot issues with SNEEK+DI, but using the technique of booting to health screen without the SD card first and then resetting with SD card inserted works every time for me with SNEEK+DI and UNEEK+DI. I am booting directly from BootMii/boot2. I am kind of curious about...

    Hacking SNEEK+DI quick guide

F.Y.I. - you don't have to use IOS70 for SNEEK when using a 4.2U NAND. You can use the 0000000E.app from IOS80 with a 4.2U NAND.

    Hacking SNEEK+DI quick guide

Yes, similar experience here with r111 UNEEK/UNEEK_DI. Using all of the exact same files on 3 different USB devices it only worked on one (a 4GB flash drive). It also failed to boot on a USB HD that I use to launch games in SNEEK_DI.

It is more productive for crediar to work on the code than to focus on the (simple) build script. Sorry for the sarcasm...

That is 4 characters in hex. Edit: Beat to it.

    Hacking HackMii Installer v0.7

There is a post on the HackMii blog which implies that the HBC changes its title ID periodically. Has anyone looked into that?

    Hacking Stack Buffer Overflows...?

If you were looking for a buffer overflow in a Wii game, for example, you would need to rip the game from the disc, decrypt it, and disassemble the executable (e.g. dol) file. Then you would need to identify an "unchecked" buffer in the program code, meaning a buffer that is assigned data...
