We've located a bug with this message and fixed it in the 1.06 kernel, I'm sure we'll be able to release the new kernel soon, until then please don't run "Casper's Scare School Spooky Sports Day! ". In the meantime we are working on a recovery tool for cards affected by this glitch.
Sorry to hear you're having this issue.
The fault you describe looks like the card can't detect the insertion of the SD card properly, can you check if the metal contact points of your SD card are oxidized or dirty, also please check if all the pins inside the SD card slot on the card are in...
Your microSD card have corrupted cluster, you have to backup up your save immediately. and use any disk scan software to fix your microSD card, which the Windows system have a disk scan tool can do it.
Did you check the hash of the rom on the SD card. I think the ROM stored on the SD card may be damaged, you can also try to format the SD card and re-copy it again.
If you encounter the direct boot error, you can do the diagnose by power up the GBA with SELECT key pressed. then you will enter the safe mode, choose Test Card option to see what is it displaying.
From your complicated description, I can probably only understand that EZ-FLASH OMEGA does not always fail to save on your SP, but is sometimes good and sometimes bad. And it always saves properly on your GBA.
So my advice is the same as @FAST6191 , you may need to completely check your GBASP...
From your feedback, your card can recognize the existence of the SD card in the process of upgrading the kernel, but it cannot recognize the ezkernelnew.bin on the SD card. It is recommended to change another SD card, reformat it, copy only ezkernelnew.bin in the root directory of the SD card...
The battery on the EZ-FLASH Junior is not only used for RTC, but also for SRAM to keep data.
If you are not an RTC gamer and can reset to the kernel backup saver by pressing the button after each game session, you don't need the battery at all.
Not sure about other models of Pi4 but the Pi 4 B with 8GBs OCed to 2Ghz handles PSP really great except like 1 game I found and it is playable it just looks bad lol Motor Storm Arctic something or other.
I mean yeah sure but the specs are the same as a $50 model, it's just those pesky "quality of life" things driving up the price, like an actually working speaker, or buttons that don't melt, and stuff like that.
I think all in my Pi 4 was well north of 200 bucks 150ish for the Pi 4 the case the fancy cooler, then like 70 for the 500GB MicroSD then like 70 for the Xbox controller. But honestly it's a nice set up I really enjoy and to me was worth every penny. (even bought more controllers for 2 or 4 player games.) hmmm have never played any 2 player games yet
Yeah that's what I hate about the RPi, it's supposedly $30 or something but it takes an additional $200 of accessories to actually turn it into a working something.
Yeah a lot of it I consider a hobby, using Batocera I am constantly adjusting the collection adding and removing stuff, scraping the artwork. Haven't even started on some music for the theme... Also way down the road I am considering attempting to do a WiiFlow knock off lol
