New Nintendo 3DS Ambassador Announced for UK

Wow, It's actually cheaper in Russia. With all those recent exchange rate shocks, 1 GBP is 93,35 RUR as of today, so math says it should cost 17 163 RUR, while the price in my invitation is 14 199 RUR.

New Nintendo 3DS Ambassador Announced for UK

Emm, in my invitation it's stated clearly Ambassadors will have a chance to buy it earlier than everybody else.

New Nintendo 3DS Ambassador Announced for UK

It's not UK only. The promo is live here in Russia as well (quite surprisingly, considering the very low popularity of Nintendo over here), and I even got the invitation. Not really sure if I should bite though, as I now have a Zelda Limited Edition 3DS XL I'm fairly happy with. For me the...

Boeing 777 from Amsterdam shot down near the Russian border, 295 dead

Surely, Ukraine doesn't expect Novorossia to have any usable military aviation, but they surely are on the fence about us (Russia) using our aviation. It's not bragging, but everyone surely understands the Ukrainian airforce is not even comparable to Russian. So some hothead might have gone...

Boeing 777 from Amsterdam shot down near the Russian border, 295 dead

Well, the guy doesn't give any reasoning why the Ukrainean couldn't have shot the plane. It's a full-fledged civil war, the army of Ukraine is nothing like the US or even the Russian army, it's been underfinanced for years and lacks any serious skill, but has the fully operational Buk systems...

Boeing 777 from Amsterdam shot down near the Russian border, 295 dead

The plane allegedly was shot down buy a "Buk" missile system (SS-11 Gadfly by the NATO classification). Even if we suppose Russia did handle one of those to Novorossia (the new country formed from the former Donetsk and Lugansk regions of Ukraine), they need serious external targeting system to...

Gaming is Dead, and Here's Why

I'd pour a little oil in the fire and say that modern gaming is what most gamers want it to be. A lot of people in the theread are crying out for innovation - but look at the sales figures. CoD games sell a bunch. NFS games sell a bunch. FIFA games sell a bunch. "Dudebro" hits sell a bunch...

Gaming is Dead, and Here's Why

Well, I started gaming when I was 3 years old, on the NES, brought to me by my father from Japan (for a reason still unknown to me it was a NES, not a Famicom). I'm 26 now and I don't feel like gaming is dead. First, you can never underestimate technical progress. Everyone likes good looking...

Gaming eShop not available in my country

That's why I've suggested Ireland or South Africa. The language is English, and the prices are in a little lower, than in the UK. As far as I understand, you'll be "stuck" in the country you initially choose only if you have the Nintendo ID, which is not requiered on the 3DS. It CAN be created...

Gaming eShop not available in my country

Yes, you can. When eShop wasn't available in Russia, I used the one for Ireland and even for the South African Republic. When it launched in Russia, it was even possible to keep the games I purchased when "migrating" to a Russian account. P.S. Very nice to see someone from Serbia here! :)

Gaming Vita - What would you recommend for a Nintendo guy thinking of buying it?

Uncharted, WipeOut 2048, Killzone is a must, Gravity Rush, Soul Sacrifice Delta, LittleBig Planet Vita, Tearaway - at least those. If you haven't played a single game, there's plenty to choose from.

Gaming Wii U reached its full graphical capability in 2013.

I guess it's something like this: http://www.cinemablend.com/games/Wii-U-Memory-Bandwidth-GPU-More-Powerful-Than-We-Thought-62437-p2.html A lot of stuff is possible on the Wii U, if you dig deeply enough. The problem is in the willingness to do so. Which, most likely, brings us to expecting...

Hardware Shuhei Yoshida: You Can Expect Fewer First-Party PS Vita Games

Well, it's your opinion and should be respected as such, but actually Sony titles are good games, and their disappearance from the Vita will be a problem.

Gaming Dimps Says Wii U Does Not Meet the Criteria for Dragon Ball: Xenoverse

Like, really? With the PS3 and X360 versions doing all right? Well, I see a pile of reasons why they don't want to make the game for the Wii U, but such an explanation is lame.

Gaming Wii U reached its full graphical capability in 2013.

Well, I have to agree. I wonder if anyone is actually trying to push the hardware. It was also the case with the Wii - the Retro guys have achieved great things with Metroid Prime 3, and than there were Conduit 1 and 2, but beyond that, no one really tried. In the case of Wii U, we have the...

Hardware Shuhei Yoshida: You Can Expect Fewer First-Party PS Vita Games

Well, Well, on the bright side of things, you might be right. If we could at least get timely localizations of Japanese AAAs, that would be nice.

Hardware Anyone gotten a Vita 2000 yet?

That's what I like about my country, you can always talk people into selling you good game stuff a couple of days before release. Unless it's something really big, like a new GTA game, maybe. Anyways, the Vita 2000 is out here as well, and can be grabbed relatively freely from a couple of...

Hardware Shuhei Yoshida: You Can Expect Fewer First-Party PS Vita Games

What I don't really understand, is the Remote Play thing. I like the idea - I have the PS4, and it would be nice to play those titles on the Vita since being a 26-years-old gamer I don't always have all the time I want for games on the big screen at home. I also have a lot of BTs, and playing...

Hardware Shuhei Yoshida: You Can Expect Fewer First-Party PS Vita Games

I really doubt it was intended to be like that from the beginning - it all looked like Sony was gearing up for a "PSP vs DS. Round 2" type of battle. But the rapid rise of smartphone/tablet gaming and the 3DS taking much of what was left from the dedicated handheld market have somewhat pushed...
