Hacking N3DS 8.1 with gateway, need hand holding

Honestly I would update to 10.3 before 10.4 comes out and downgrade to 9.2 because it's a lot easier than trying to update to 9.2 But that's just me

Hacking [GUIDE] Upgrading 8.1.0-0J to 9.2.0-20J

Yes I put them on that one website. I ended up disabling that title in GetSystemUpdate_response.xml by changing <Version>0</Version> to <Version>1</Version> because the update would just error out every time until I did it. Despite being 9.2, system settings says I'm on 9.1. Presumably because...

Tutorial How to export/import Gateway Card1 .sav to eShop/3ds/3dz with SaveDataFiler

Anyway to import all Mii/Streetpass data? I tried just exporting all the extdata from sysnand and importing it to unlinked emunand, but no luck. I don't care for those things myself, but it isn't my console :P

Thanks, thought I was going mad :D Although now I'm running into the problem of homemenuhax autobooting again, going to be a pain just to get this save data

Hacking 3DS NOOB PARADISE - Ask questions here

Did I dream this or did GW add an option to boot to sysnand from the GW menu? Like holding a dpad button or something? I can't find anything on their site about it now

Hacking Downgrading for 9.3+ Owners is now a reality!

Ah, okay. I didn't bother looking up what the system titles were so i wasn't very confident in my assumption. But yeah, for anyone wondering I originally said it deleted a couple of system titles on the nand which I assumed were to do with NATIVE_FIRM, meaning Process9 would have nothing to...

Pretty funny that people are basically waiting for his permission on this when he has literally nothing to do with it and has had no involvement. I guess his incessant posting of hype has given him some sort of pseudo-credit? Kinda funny how he's talking about it to keep some sort of relevance...

As someone who did the 8.1j SOAP response method, we used 000400102002CA00. Not sure about sysupdater, though. Edit: actually, nevermind. That's the single title I had to change to <Version>0</Version> to get it to update without error - so try without that I guess.

They should but you can just get the .cias directly from the same site that haven't been on pingo's grubby computer, newfriend

Which, if true, is completely redundant because you could just check the hashes for the .cias themselves. Still, the guy said .ttp contains .zips when it doesn't.

Why would you use .cias in a renamed .zip?

@SylverReZ if you could find a v5 DS ML you would have the best of both worlds since the v5 units had the same backlight brightness levels as the DS Lite unlockable with flashme

A woman with no arms and no legs was sitting on a beach. A man comes along and the woman says, "I've never been hugged before." So the man feels bad and hugs her. She says "Well i've also never been kissed before." So he gives her a kiss on the cheek. She says "Well I've also never been fucked before." So the man picks her up, and throws her in the ocean and says "Now you're fucked."

Agreed, that why I try to buy all my games on disc, Xbox anyways. Switch games (which I pirate tbh) don't matter much, I stay offline 24/7 anyways.

@BakerMan - you can still "own" digital media, arguably easier and better than physical since you can make copies and backups, as much as you like.

    The issue is DRM
    +1
  • cearp @ cearp:
You can buy drm free games / music / ebooks, and if you keep backups of your data (like documents and family photos etc), then you shouldn't lose the game. but with a disk, your toddler could put it in the toaster and there goes your $60

    :rofl2:
  • cearp @ cearp:
still, I agree physical media is nice to have. just pointing out the issue is drm

  • rqkaiju2 @ rqkaiju2:
i like physical media because it actually feels like you own it. thats why i plan on burning music to cds
