Hacking 3DS NOOB PARADISE - Ask questions here

If I'm converting retail game ROMs to CIAs and installing them on my emuNAND (running patched rxTools), does all the stuff about private headers apply to me? If it does, then where can I find more information about it? Things like local multiplayer and StreetPass don't care about the headers...

Hacking Not Serious, But a Question.

Basically, if the encryption is done right, there's no way to crack the encryption (except for checking every possible key, but let's just say that there're too many of them to check each one). However, there are usually some flaws in the implementation of the signing/signature check system...

Are You iOS, Android Or A BlackBerry?

You shouldn't forget that US is not the only country in the world. For example, in Thailand, Blackberry is the most popular mobile phone brand, and their phones are mostly used by young people. I don't really know the exact reason for this, but one of Thai I know told me that Thai people think...

Hacking 3ds Dev kit for sale on ebay

No, this is not possible. To order anything, you have to login to WarioWorld with your developer's login and password, and you can only order stuff to the address that's specified as your company's secure office.

    Hacking Nintendo Video analysis

Thanks for the info! This probably means that second number is the country ID.

    Hacking 3DS update process analyzed

That's not true, because with every try the number of possible keys that you haven't checked yet decreases by 1 (i.e. on the last try the possibility is 100%).

    Hacking Nintendo Video analysis

I'm writing an article about Nintendo Video for the 3DBrew right now, it will contain all the data I found including domains, file structure and everything else.

    Hacking Nintendo Video analysis

So, it seems that, as I guessed, the /1/110/1/CHECK file should return 403 if region is not supported, 404 otherwise. /1/110/1/ESP_MDi returns 403 if region is not supported, ith video otherwise (404 if there's no such video). It seems that support for only four videos is hardcoded into Nintendo...

    Hacking Nintendo Video analysis

Here's what I was able to achieve with some DNS spoofing: (I just happened to have a printed Latvian flag near me :3) This didn't actually allow me to download any videos, though, but I'll keep on trying. Here's the list of files the 3DS tried to download from...

    Hacking Nintendo Video analysis

This really depends on whether the connection is fully encrypted or not. The most likely scenario is that it's fully encrypted, however, I saw some plaintext connections to pubeu-p.est.c.app.nintendowifi.net in my logs.

    Hacking Nintendo Video analysis

I've always had UK set as my country, so my Nintendo Video has already been downloaded from the UK shop. I'm currently trying to analyse network packets sent from 3DS to the Nintendo Video and vice-versa. I might also try to use a proxy to access Video.

    Hacking Nintendo Video analysis

My region is already set to UK, but it doesn't help. I guess that Nintendo Video uses my IP address to determine the location, not the profile settings.

    Hacking Nintendo Video analysis

Hi everybody. I'm currently trying to analyse the way 3DS communicates with Nintendo Video servers, and there seems to be some plain HTTP communication there, so it's possible that we might alter it. The problem is that I'm from Latvia and Nintendo Video is not available here, so I can't see...

That's because the browser is rendering in 16-bit mode, because it's a little bit faster.

I've noticed an interesting feature: I've uploaded a photo to a website, and when viewed from a PC, this photo is a simple JPG, but when viewed in 3DS's browser, photo is 3D.

Hacking About the 3DS roms dumpted out by LGC

Actually, the ROMs have already been dumped before the LGC, they just weren't released to the public. Proof is the 'CXI' page in 3dbrew and the discussion for that page. Also, the ROMs are encrypted, so it isn't really unexpected that they don't contain ARM instructions.
