    Hacking Progskeet Question

Has anyone here actually downgraded their PS3 with Progskeet AND using the NAND PCB for dual firmware? I've been attempting to do my research into this, but the topics seem so far spread apart with speculation, outdated news, and just useless information on the actual pieces required. If you...

    Hacking wwt+wit: Wiimms WBFS+ISO Tools

Well, I tried it over 4 different OSs, and the results for me are the same. No matter what OS (Win/OSX/Linux), running "wwt analyze" as root or sudo, returns the same error. Actually, if I run it without root privs, I get permission denied on my internals, and the same result for the external...

    Hacking wwt+wit: Wiimms WBFS+ISO Tools

I'm tired of using Windows VM to transfer games to my drive, but can't for the life of me get WWT to work for me. Sorry if this has been explained before. I have a fat32 drive with its wbfs folder in place. What's the proper command for simply (and properly) adding games to my wbfs folder...

Joy, r228 is available via in-app. Much, much, much better. Love the new loading speeds.

Hacking WiiFlow - an open source GUI USB-Loader

It's painful. I had a plethora of code dumps when downloading art -- seemed to catch issues with the .wfc files. Reverted back to r180 for now. I noticed the download for it was pulled (as well as the initial r92(?)) -- luckily I had a backup of r180 floating around since I couldn't find...

    Hacking wwt+wit: Wiimms WBFS+ISO Tools

Thanks again! I managed to whip up a simple droplet for osx that does all the work for me. All is well. Much appreciated and awesome work!

    Hacking wwt+wit: Wiimms WBFS+ISO Tools

Thanks for the prompt response. Is it possible to prevent it from splitting files that are under 4g (but over 2g?) Or do I need to check files manually first? I'm basically looking for a one-stop command that will convert files to .wbfs, if they're over 4g then split them into 2g parts, if...

    Hacking wwt+wit: Wiimms WBFS+ISO Tools

Sorry if this has been discussed somewhere, this is a bit complex for my noggin, but slowing getting there.. couple Qs. How would I go about converting an ISO to WBFS WHILE renaming it to the internal ID6? As in convert, test.iso to R123E56.wbfs Also, how would I go about converting an ISO...

Hacking wbfs for mac os x

A little late on this one, but this version (1.2) of WBFS for Mac is the only one that ever worked right for me. http://www.mediafire.com/?d5od2lty5mi Additionally, you should check out this thread.. http://gbatemp.net/index.php?showtopic=214002

    Homebrew Utilitii

That's a little better. It finds the drive, and eventually reads the games now. It does take an awful long time for me, though. Upwards of a minute with the WiiZor process choking on most of the CPU. After it loads the games, it looks great. I'm looking at about 2-5 seconds to load all my...

    Homebrew Utilitii

No, I didn't (but did now.) I had to put it in my User's library, though. It finds the device, but doesn't list any games. It shows a single blank line at the top. My other tools will show the games, so its definitely not my drive. If there's any kind of info I can give you to help, let me...

    Homebrew Utilitii

I'd happily test this since I'm still using WBFS for Mac 1.2, but it doesn't find my drive. Other utilities will find it, but clicking on Find WBFS doesn't add anything to the list. Great potential, though, would love to see this progress. Using a Seagate Xtreme 1.5tb w/ a WBFS/FAT partition...

Misc Connect to Network W/O internet?

Been awhile since I've been on the scene, so not sure if this is possible now. Search isn't helpful. :( So, I'm trying to connect a Wii to a local network that has NO internet connectivity. This is to be used strictly for local media sharing. I don't want internet running through this...

    Hacking MadWorld disc error

Not to give the obvious, but are you sure you've tried to enable fix 002? Additionally, I can't say for MadWorld, but some games simply don't work cross-region -- is it a NTSC-U versioned game?

    Hacking Hi, um..

That's about as vague as the thread's title. Make sure you install the USB2 cIOS, try the appropriate USB slot on the Wii (the bottom one if sitting horizontal), and perhaps some more informative inquiries for help. I think (I know) it's all mentioned in the guide linked a few posts above.

Homebrew It there any app that allows you to backup your wii saves?

You can use Savegame Manager to extract saves which are otherwise non-transferable via the Wii Menu. Unfortunately, it only supports one-by-one dumps of a save file, and wont dump everything with a few clicks.

Hacking Formatting Ext. Drive for Dual Partition - Mac OS X, WBFS

Mac user here, and I've never needed to use any 3rd party utility to setup dual partitioned drives for the Wii. If you create the wbfs partition as disk0, and your fat partition as disk1, it should work right then and there. I can't comment on the drive you are trying to use, but I've used a...

    +1
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
And I also have my ps3
    +1
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Yea ps3 is a beast still to today compared to most "sticks"
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
If you just want pi for emulation no point when Anbernic releases new shit every two seconds
    +1
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
What's really cool about Pi's tho is you can have multiple SD cards with different OS on each SD card and change from say a gaming machine to a full fledged pc if wanted
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
Plus all bios are set up and usually includes at least 128gbs or 64
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
Yeah but if your main goal is just to play n64 and GameCube you can save about $50 and have the portability option
    +1
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
True, but on 2 monitors at 4k. Its just want you want really, to each they own.
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
For a kids aspect Anbernic would be the better option they'd probably melt over the price on a good 4k display
    +1
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
For that texasroo guy, I'd recommend the Spell and speak as his first system.
    +1
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
So they buy a pi5 kit for about $150 and say a 28" 4k display probably looking around $400 total
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
They'll be getting in the territory of portable Pcs anyway
    +1
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Again you get what you pay for, its like buying a S series for $300 but its only 1440p native, if you want true 4k, gotta get the X model for $500. But yea you right, when moms buying it anyways, you gotta stay cheap.
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
They could use HD out on their TV no real need for a monitor these days tbh the purists will disagree
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
I'm kind of phasing out on the need for wanting all these consoles cool to have but they just become dust build ups
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
I here ya there, I have too many myself, and have hard time letting them go, since most of mine I've modded at some point. Anymore I just play Switch on the go, seriesx at home.
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
    ack my throat
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
I need to invest in some storage totes tbh
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
    Tots?
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
    Tootles
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
    Tootles? Wtf
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
    Oh tootles
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Oh totes , lol, like Tupperware storage, I gotcha
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
I'm designing my own entertainment cabinet for my man cave, to store all my systems, then I'm also designing a power supply/HDMI switcher so I can switch to whichever system I want, and power it also. Already picked up the cabinet board, but tinkering with my drawings before start
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
But yea, I have frogger arcade cabinet that I gutted and put a Pi4 then Pi5 into, but it never gets played much anymore, should sell it. Even when the kids come over, they don't want to play on it, just the xbox. TMNT and Simpson's arcade is still so fun on it, esp w 2 players.
