Hacking List of all Gateway questions (9.2.0-20)

I don't use cheats, but just updating the GW seems less of a hassle (other than going through settings every cycle, not big deal). Also installed FBI, so so far I'm happy as it is... I was in the same situation and just changed the launcher.dat (3.7.2 I believe), updated emuNAND and installed...

Hacking List of all Gateway questions (9.2.0-20)

Probably answered 1 million times, but I have to try :): Couple of years of not using the 3ds + gateway, v.4.5.0-U. Is it better to forget about gw (with all the new stuff around..) or just use Plailect's guide + fix for gateway? I just need a simple solution to start playing again without...

Why this is not my case? (emunand guide) 11th: close your 3DS and takeout your Sd card-> on your computer drive you will see that half of your memory space is gone. It's basically empty...

Hacking 3DS NOOB PARADISE - Ask questions here

Can someone guide me to take advantage of the Pokemon 3ds promo? I have an american 3dsXL and AC:NL, so I think I qualify. Since the beggining I refused to use emunand, so I have no idea how to set everything up, it's been like 2 months since the last time I used the 3ds fearing the brick...

Hacking Gateway will fix any bricked 3DS for free, as long as you're not lying!

No, they won't repair your unit even if you pay $100. This is only the cost of returning the unit to you untouched.

Yeah, any normal company would have done that. For sure.

GW is not gonna help them in any way, that's for sure.

They should also send their work to the other companies first, so everyone releases the updates at the same time. And the code with comments on what does every line in it, to make sure it never happens again.

With what they copied from others or from using the exploit others found (I have no idea who found it), I'm pretty sure it's not enough to run 3ds roms. So they did something "innovative" and that's why they get credit for it, nothing else.

As a GW user, I can't agree more. But clones did their part, and no one cares.

If you have no idea of what you are doing, or simply you're not sure if it's safe for your costumers, isn't it irresponsible to sell it in the first place? (Assuming you care about them ofc)

Hacking Gateway will fix any bricked 3DS for free, as long as you're not lying!

What I don't buy from your previous post is the fact that you try to justify the clones not doing their job because GW made it too difficult to detect/prevent. If they decided to put the shady timebomb, ofc it's gonna be shady. I fail to see why people refuse to turn to the clones team/teams...

I would add another one: 2.1. Gateway doesn't fix it and you're out $20 for shipping.(remember your 3ds is worth nothing bricked). They claim you used a clone, and you have no way to prove/disprove it. Some people will believe you, some people won't. We are back to square one.

Hacking How can anyone be okay with Gateway's behavior?

ROFL. This is probably the best one. Wouldn't it be awesome if they release a way to fix the brick but only for GW users?

AFAIK, they look like this.. It's not a stamp.. Or if it is, you can clearly check it without damaging the box at all.

Thx! Btw, what's the compatibility list of DS games? I've read something about being able to update the firmware to the Wood 1.62, but actually I have no idea if this affects me in any way or not..

Been playing 3DS games just fine so far. How do you do it for DS games (apart from using the Blue card instead! ^^)? I'm a total noob in this regard :)

College costs, college loans, book prices, the entire thing is predatory, oft touted as essential to a successful life for my generation and the ones since, and completely unaffordable without putting you through an insane financial hardship for literal decades in many situations.

It's important for society to be healthy and educated. If those things can't happen because all of the institutions that prop up those industries make it unattainable for all but a small portion of society, then your society is largely going to be disease ridden, dying, and uneducated in very short order.

Issue is it's too rich of a coperation already with bad sugar diets causing diabetes and killing teeth a new set of teeth around 90k
  • cearp @ cearp:
I agree it's not easy for the average American, let alone the ones below that average. Free / cheaper healthcare is much more important I think than free university education.
Of course like @mthrnite said, why not both. But I doubt both will get solved at once, and surely healthcare is top priority.

If it's needed to keep you healthy it shouldn't cost you $90k. The fact that it does is an enormous problem

And if the concern is that "well we can't trust the government to intervene for this because the government can't do anything right and wastes tons of money" then holy shit push for a better government. I'm certainly trying to. Don't throw your hands up and go "we've tried nothing and we're all out of ideas"

  • cearp @ cearp:
@K3Nv2 that's crazily expensive. how long will that take to pay off?

Although diet is largely education, people don't need to go to university to learn what's healthy and what's not,
it's the whole country, big corporations and advertising that is to blame for leading most of the population to believe that poptarts and froot loops are healthy to feed a child
  • mthrnite @ mthrnite:
i would think the population knows better but with food deserts and abject poverty, sometimes a poptart gonna have to do.

As someone who went through the grade school system in the US some time within the past 30 or so years, not nearly enough is done to promote and educate on how to eat healthy in a way that is feasible to do on a regular basis and also affordable. Eating healthy is, comparatively, fucking expensive. So is eating unhealthy, but in many cases eating unhealthy is more affordable than eating healthy
