Is there a safe AR code for getting the Bass chip in Mega Man Battle Network 1?

I don't want to cheat, I just want to have all the chips. The Bass chip is in the game but is impossible to access through normal means.

Is there a safe AR code for getting the Bass chip in Mega Man Battle Network 1?

I tried some code I found on the internet that instantly put the chip in your folder, but it also made the characters refuse to save the game and then the file promptly got corrupted and deleted itself.

Is it possible to use an R4 flash cart to use AR codes on an unofficial GBA cart?

Thanks again for those details. I am probably going to attempt to use the Action Replay if I do anything at all, as long as it can't corrupt the file just by being used for a simple code like the one I'm going to use. I don't think I can use any solution that will require more than an...

Is it possible to use an R4 flash cart to use AR codes on an unofficial GBA cart?

Thank you for such a comprehensive post! I have been busy so I haven't had time to respond. But I can post the url to it *snip* The soft lock essentially involves the impossibility of getting 2 battlechips that are necessary to unlocking a gate that would give you another battle chip that would...

Is it possible to use an R4 flash cart to use AR codes on an unofficial GBA cart?

I have this green "Mega Man Battle Network Collection" GBA cart that has all 12 games of that series, specifically the Wii U virtual console versions of those games ported onto it. (I can't seem to post my photo of it.) One of those games, Mega Man Battle Network 6, had a nasty soft-lock...

Looking for a European save for Mega Man Battle Network 5: Team Colonel with all icons

I kept doing different things to try to get my copy of MMBN5: Double Team to get BassCross. That's an ability that's only gotten by having a MMBN5 GBA cart with the Bass title scree icon in the bottom port of the DS. Earlier today I used an R4 flash cart to get a perfect file off the internet...

Having trouble activating Action Replay codes for Mega Man Battle Network 5: Double Team

Thanks for this amazing writeup! Sorry I didn't respond sooner. What confuses me is that a lot of codes don't show up, although the "official" Datel codes do work. (Like insta-filling custom gauge.) So the AR does work, it's just that no fan-made code --- the Django one or any other one --- works.

Having trouble activating Action Replay codes for Mega Man Battle Network 5: Double Team

Hmm. I'm not really sure what that is or how it would work. But I'll look into it if I can't get the Action Replay working. I'm wondering if there's some button I need to hold down as the game is loading? Some places have said that's sometimes necessary.

Having trouble activating Action Replay codes for Mega Man Battle Network 5: Double Team

Thank you for your response! I'm actually using a DS Lite. I don't know whether or not the codes are wrong, but it does seem like I'm doing something wrong when no other fan-made codes seem to work. Only the official Datel ones seem to work.

Having trouble activating Action Replay codes for Mega Man Battle Network 5: Double Team

I'm trying to get 1) SolCross and 2) BassCross, which are gotten in the game naturally (but inconveniently) by 1) having a cartridge of the game in the GBA slot of the DS Lite, and 2) having a cartridge of the game that has a specific completion icon on it. Lacking those requirements, I instead...

Hacking 3DS NOOB PARADISE - Ask questions here

I realized that the file in that photo (0002001000020900.cia) isn't actually missing; it's just failing to work somehow. I'm pretty sure I'm using the right files for a JPN N3DS. What could be causing the problem?

Hacking 3DS NOOB PARADISE - Ask questions here

I think I am, since the guide I was using specifically mentioned the N3DS. But just to try everything I exchanged my "updates" folder on the SD card for another "updates" derived from 9.2.0-20J(Full)_n3DS.zip, on https://mega.nz/#F!IApGwLJL!kYHL5jMlDfd0rmn6a8DaFw This led to this error...

Hacking 3DS NOOB PARADISE - Ask questions here

I'm having some trouble downgrading my Japanese N3DS from 10.3 to 9.2. I'm using this guide: (More specifically, I'm using the text that accompanies the video underneath it.) I've done what I'm told to do up to the end of the instructions, and I've gotten successfully to this screen...

Sorry, I had been linked to this thread directly from GameFAQs and didn't know how to navigate this site. I found the relevant information, though, and I'll be working on that.

ROM Hack [WIP] MHX Translation Patch (ENG)

Hi, I want to say first that this is a great endeavor, and I appreciate all the effort that has gone into this. I really can't thank the people involved in this project enough, because I have tried to play through this in full Japanese and it is terribly difficult. I'm running into some...

i used to go out to the recycling center every couple weeks and look at the crts and other electronics people would drop off. Usually screens were broken or severely scratched from being tossed around. Did find a good one here and there, but never anything like a 1080i widescreen crt.

Is it piracy if it was released for free? Not in my opinion, but I also think it's not piracy if buying it isn't owning it, and it's not piracy if you can't buy it from the original creators anymore.
