Question about updating Wad Cios with different base

Thanks for the help 1679795425 Hey I found a workaround, the crash that happens when exiting a game that is running at 576i in my ntsc console is gone after changing the config file of CFG Usb Loader, instead of returning to Main Menu I set it to return to the Loader and it now changes to 480p...

Question about updating Wad Cios with different base

Yeah I'm from Uruguay, I just read two more posts about this game not running at 480p, one from this site, the other from game faq, it seems it won't support 480p, which is weird.

Question about updating Wad Cios with different base

Yeah I have that settings, that is how I have been loading pal games, japanase wads etc. Using a spanish translation was my first choice, because it was the easiest thing to do, I found one semi complete, but I also wanted to fix the problem, I'm thrilled about some people claiming this game to...

Question about updating Wad Cios with different base

Not really, I'm trying to find out why exiting a game that is running at 576i is causing the crash, I can have 2 workarounds, run at 480i and see everything at a much lower quality, or play a ntsc game. I want to play the Pal version because of the language, I have no problem with english, but...

Question about updating Wad Cios with different base

DBZ won't run at 480p, tried to force ntsc but I get a black screen (Wii mote shuts down), it runs at 576i no matter what, because my ntsc Wii is running at 480p (so its trying to display at its Pal equal), both Pal50 and Pal60 will display 576i, if I run the Wii at 480i then the problem is gone...

Question about updating Wad Cios with different base

Pal games run at 576i instead of 480p, not 576p. It doesn't look as sharp as 480p but it looks fine. This problem must have a solution, I don't think people with ntsc has crashes in games that run at 576i, I would have seen more posts about it.

Question about updating Wad Cios with different base

The wii is running at 480p, the home screen in DBZ works fine, I can play the game at 480i, 576i, Tho If I play it at 576i I get the crash when exiting. Its like if I can't switch from 576i to other resolutions, It happened in a different tv as well, but with the gamecube game. These crashes...

Question about updating Wad Cios with different base

But its also happening with Wii games, I thought it was a nintendont failure with 576i, but its happening with Wii games in 2 different loaders. I made a mistake at the description, I get a blackscreen if I try to force ntsc, use global settings (displays ntsc), I can play at 576i perfectly fine...

Question about updating Wad Cios with different base

The Crash happened in Gamecube games such as Fire emblem path of radiance, but happened after exiting the game, then I noticed that it also happens in DBZ Tk3 and Resident Evil archives, I can play at 480i and exit the game just fine, If I play at 480p I can exit like I should, the problem is...

Question about updating Wad Cios with different base

Thank you for the help 1679772350 I'm using an hdmi adapter, ntsc games run fine at 480p, most of the pal games also run at 480p, but some can't for some reason, I tried to force ntsc but there is a black screen, if I force pal60 then some run at 576i still, other will get a black screen. I'm...

Question about updating Wad Cios with different base

Hello there, I hope you are doing well. Edit: Pal games that can't be forced to Ntsc seem to give a black screen when returning to menu, change the Loader settings to return to Loader instead of Main Menu, it should solve the problem. I have been seeing black screens in Pal games when trying...

    Gaming Recommended First person shooters?

I can relate to these issues, a third party classic controller often causes crashers while in hombrew or in cfg usb loader, dsi exception error. 1665442655 Thanks for the suggestion, I'll keep it in mind.

    Gaming Recommended First person shooters?

I have been playing some GC games with a classic controller, but no shooters so far, only TimeSplitters with an xbox 360 controller thanks to a nintendont fork that allows it.

Couldn't even play TimeSplitters because the motion controls feels like if it had a huge input lag and can't really follow your movements, its harder than playing with a controller, same for you? 1665304120 Yeah mine neither, I barely got a Wii few months ago and had no desire of playing first...

    Gaming Recommended First person shooters?

Thank you for sharing and explaining that much. Have you played the Gamecube shooters using the Wii Mote's IR? I tried 007 Nightfire but the IR only controls the vertical camera and there seems to be a huge delay, so its really better off using a wired controller with analog sticks. Perhaps is...

    Gaming Recommended First person shooters?

Yeah I got Sin & Punishment, just haven't played it yet, didn't know Gunblade. Finished RE4 several times on ps2, pc with mods and Wii, at least 3 times on Wii during the last months, its just too good, the game its easier because of the motion controls, despite of the fact that there are more...

Oh so you actually meant to play Gamecube FPS using the IR of the Wii like if they were native Wii games, that is incredible, I was wondering how it wasn't done when Nintendont actually allows you use the Nunchuck tilt to simulate L-R buttons, thank you very much again.

@SylverReZ if you could find a v5 DS ML you would have the best of both worlds since the v5 units had the same backlight brightness levels as the DS Lite unlockable with flashme

A woman with no arms and no legs was sitting on a beach. A man comes along and the woman says, "I've never been hugged before." So the man feels bad and hugs her. She says "Well i've also never been kissed before." So he gives her a kiss on the cheek. She says "Well I've also never been fucked before." So the man picks her up, and throws her in the ocean and says "Now you're fucked."

anyways, we need to re-normalize physical media

if i didn't want my games to be permanent, then i'd rent them

Agreed, that why I try to buy all my games on disc, Xbox anyways. Switch games (which I pirate tbh) don't matter much, I stay offline 24/7 anyways.

@BakerMan - you can still "own" digital media, arguably easier and better than physical since you can make copies and backups, as much as you like.

    The issue is DRM
    +1
  • cearp @ cearp:
You can buy drm free games / music / ebooks, and if you keep backups of your data (like documents and family photos etc), then you shouldn't lose the game. but with a disk, your toddler could put it in the toaster and there goes your $60

    :rofl2:
  • cearp @ cearp:
still, I agree physical media is nice to have. just pointing out the issue is drm

i like physical media because it actually feels like you own it. thats why i plan on burning music to cds

It's nice to not have to have a lot of physical things though, saves space
